Micro RPG is an interesting distillation of the RPG genre, letting you swing a sword or fire a bow without paying that much attention. It’s a neat concept, and there are some smart ideas threaded through it. But it can also get tricky if you’re not sure what you’re supposed to be doing, especially in the later levels.

Which is why we decided it was a good idea to write this guide. It’s made up of all the strategies we’ve picked up during our time playing Micro RPG, and now we’re only too happy to be sharing them with you.

It makes no odds where you are in your Micro RPG journey – hacking with your axe for the first time or about to take on one of the big bads – there’s going to be something here to help you out. These are the best hints, tips and cheats for Micro RPG.

Don’t forget to heal

It’s really important to keep your health points as high as you can. This can involve using the heal option on the character page between levels, or picking up the hearts that defeated enemies drop. The healthier you are, the more likely you are to triumph, especially in the later levels.

Check the skills on your weapons

Just because a weapon does more damage, doesn’t mean that it’s the best tool for the job. Check to see the extra skills that your weapons bring to the fight, and make sure you look to see what kind of hit arc they have as well. Understand your gear and you’re going to be in a better position to win.

Look at what you’re trying to do

Make sure you know which monsters you’re actually trying to kill. Focus on knocking out the ones that are going to complete the main quest first, then shift your attention to the secondary quest. Make sure that every shot you take is helping you out in some way, otherwise you’re just wasting your limited turns.

Combos are king

Hitting one monster is fine, but it won’t do that much damage. The more monsters you hit in a single shot, the more damage you’ll do as the smack down progresses. Try and hit as many foes as you can with every attack to make sure you’re doing the most damage you possibly can.

Use different heroes

You can use the new heroes you’ve unlocked to go back and fight through levels you’ve already completed. It’s especially useful if you’re taking a beating in later levels and could do with some more coins and weapons. It’s a bit grindy, but it’s still a lot of fun.
