Game Hollywood, the prolific mobile and PC, has just added MiliGirls Fantasy to its roster.

MiliGirls Fantasy is an unusual mix of gacha game and shoot ‘em up, with the equally unusual setting of an alternate universe World War II. That means you’re up against human opponents instead of the usual assortment of demons and monsters.

It also means they’re rolling you with tanks and big green guns, as well as gigantic spider mechs and other fantastical contraptions. All the bases are covered.

The aim of the game is to recruit waifu MiliGirls into your army, which is the last line of defense in the war for humanity.

Then you need to send them into battle, which takes the form of side-scrolling shoot ‘em up stages where you need to weave your way through an endless barrage of incoming fire while spewing out a barrage of your own.

Don’t worry if that sounds a bit much – MiliGirls Fantasy is an idle game, so you can level-up AFK.

Success relies not only on dusting off your bullet-hell skills, but on picking the most effective line-up. Each MiliGirl has her own unique strengths and weaknesses, as well as her own personality and history.

For instance, Elinius is an SSR character with a big appetite for both food and vengeance. Elinus is described by Game Hollywood as “the beginning of the Tiger legend: the mighty king of land battles”.

Luna, by contrast, is a gentle soul. She likes grapes, hates shiitake, and pilots her plane with utmost skill. Then there’s Bovanna, another brutal tank character who likes pudding, hates pepper, and has a disconcerting habit of playing practical jokes during battle.

There are 40+ of these waifu characters to collect, all of them personifications of different World War II weapons and vehicles.

It’s a neat premise, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the war for humanity pans out. You can see for yourself by playing MiliGirls Fantasy right now on Game Hollywood. There’s a gift code too – just check out the image above.

Game Hollywood are even celebrating the launch of this platform by offering out codes for the game on there too – find more details right here.
