The big draw in the Dragon Quest I event in Dragon Quest Tact is the S-Rank Dragonlord. This powerful monster is one you’re going to want to add to your team. So we thought we’d try and help out by writing a guide about how to do that.

Bear in mind that Dragon Quest Tact is essentially a gacha game, so there’s no guarantee that you’re not going to spend the next few weeks trying to grab a Dragonlord and failing. But hey, that’s sort of the point right?

What are the Dragonlord’s stats?

The Dragonlord is an S-Rank monster with some impressive stats and a pretty useful leader skill. Some people think he might be the most powerful monster in the game. Here’s a breakdown of his starting numbers and much, much more.

  • Stats – HP: 531 MP: 322 ATK: 208 DEF: 221 AGL: 241 WIS: 295 Move: 2
  • Leader Perk – Plus 20% to Frizz
  • Abilities – Frizzle: Moderate Frizz spell damage to 1 enemy, Kafrizz: Major Frizz damage to 1 enemy, Hellfire Blast: Moderate Frizz spell damage to random enemies in the AOE four times
  • Awakening skill – 10pts: Stats up, lower Frizz ability MP costs, 20pts: Stats up, Woosh resistance plus 25, 30pts: Stats up, Hellfire Blast potency plus 5%, 40pts: Stats up, Zap resistance plus 25, 50pts: Stats up, Hellfire Blast potency plus 5%

How to get the Dragonlord

The Dragonlord is only available as a Scout pull. That means you can’t farm him in levels or find him anywhere else. If you want a Dragonlord, you’re going to have to get him in the Scout menu.

The only way to do that is to use the Dragonlord SP Scout banner. The Dragonlord isn’t available in any of the other banners. In the Dragonlord SP Scout Banner you’ve got a higher chance of nabbing the Dragonlord than any other S Rank monster, but it’s still a pretty low chance.

How can I up my chances?

You can’t change the percentage chance of each draw, because it’s the same every time you pull. You’ll want to farm gems to try and get as many pull chances as you can. Always try and pull 10X by using 3000 gems instead of one at once, that way you’ll get stamps which can give you goodies.

You’ll also get pull tickets by logging on during the event, so make sure you’re coming back to Dragon Quest Tact every day to give yourself the best chance of landing a Dragonlord.

How long is the Dragonlord available for?

The Dragon Quest I event runs until February 28th. Whether the Dragonlord will stop being available at that point or will enter normal rotation of the Scout pulls we’re not entirely sure. So it’s probably worth nabbing him now just to be sure.
