The first event for Dragon Quest Tact is about to start. It’s built around the world of Dragon Quest I and will add some exciting new content to the smash hit gacha-ish tactical RPG. You’ve probably got a lot of questions about it, and we’ve tried to answer all of them in this guide.

If you’ve got more, feel free to stick them in the comments section at the bottom of the article and we’ll do our best to help you out.

A lot of the answers we’ve shared below are based on what happened with the Japanese version of the DQ1 event, so they’re best guesses rather than actual facts.

Now here’s everything you need to know about the Dragon Quest I event for Dragon Quest Tact.

What monsters will you be able to get?

If the Japanese version of the game is anything to go by, there’ll be two new monsters available to you in Scout pulls. One of them is an S rank, the other an A rank. We’ve explained them in more detail below.

  • Dragonlord
  • S-rank
  • How to get it: Obtained through event Scout Pulls
  • Leader Skill: Plus 20% to to Frizz spells
  • Cosmic Chimaera
  • A-rank
  • How to get it: Obtained through event Scout Pulls
  • Leader Skill: Plus 5% to Frizz spells

What new content will the update add

There’ll be a new Dragon Quest 1 themed Battle Road. You’ll only be able to use Monsters from DQ1 in this mode, and you’ll need to have finished level 4 of the standard Battle Road to unlock it. Again, this information is based on the Japanese version of the game, so it could change for the global version of the game.

There should also be extra Dragon Quest 1 themed story quests. You’ll be stepping into the world of the original Dragon Quest, so expect to see some familiar faces along the way if you’ve played that classic RPG before.

Will there be other bonuses?

You’ll get log-in bonuses just for loading up the game during the event. Expect to see some event quests thrown in there as well. The log-in bonuses will get you gems as well as SP Scout tickets, both of which are super useful.

When does the Dragon Quest I event start?

It kicks off on February 3rd. Which is today. We don’t have an exact time, with the game just saying PST. Which could mean it’ll start as soon as the clock ticks round to 12:01PST on February 3rd.
