Standing still is probably the worst thing you can do in the game. It makes you an easy target for the undead flesh-munchers. And for the angry humans with guns who want to fill you with bullets and steal all of your stuff.
Instead, keep on the move. Don’t get yourself boxed in, stay one step ahead of the enemy. Follow those simple rules and you’re going to be getting to the end of the day alive more often than not.
As with almost every shooter that’s ever existed, you should be aiming for headshots whenever you can. Not only will they take zombies down quicker, they’re also going to earn you more gold come the end of the level.
This is especially applicable in the shooting gallery-style levels. Here you’re in control of where you’re aiming rather than where you’re moving. Aim for the head and you’re going to do much better than if you aim anywhere else.
Boosting your skills is super important if you want to stay one step ahead of the zombie horde. You’re also going to need to repair your armor when it takes damage. None of this is cheap, but it is essential.
That’s why it’s a good idea to watch the videos that double or triple your loot from a level. The more money you’ve got, the better you’re going to do. Which is sort of the case in real life as well, sadly.
If you’re stuck on a level, it could be that your hardware isn’t packing enough of a punch. Try spending some gold on the more powerful weapons instead of just using the one you’re given for free.
It can be pretty expensive doing this, so it should be something of a last resort. But, let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to take the biggest gun they possibly can into a fight, right?
