Soda Dungeon 2 is a wonderfully put together dungeon crawler with some really clever ideas. You’re in charge of building up a team of warriors, upgrading their equipment and sending them into a dark labyrinth to kill everything that moves.
The controls might not be that difficult – you’re just tapping to attack – but there’s plenty going on behind the scenes that you need to get to grips with if you want to succeed. And that’s where this guide comes in.
We’ve played a good chunk of the game and have discovered some hints, tips and tricks that are going to help you take everything from the dark lord. Follow this guide and you’ll be slaughtering left, right and centre.
Have you played the game? Got your own helpful suggestions you’d like to share? Then make sure you let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Before that though, here’s everything you need to know to conquer Soda Dungeon 2.
Don’t just select the first fighter you see. The settings of the game mean that your first selection is going to get the best gear. Instead check your options and then put your strongest fighter in the first slot – that’s going to help you out a lot.
You can also change the settings to allow you to equip your own gear. It’s more time consuming, and isn’t really worth it in the early stages of the game. The deeper you get into the experience the more you’re going to want to take control though, so remember that it’s an option.
Buy The Wizard
The wizard lets you warp through levels that you’ve already completed and start deeper into the dungeon. That means you don’t have to worry about protecting your warriors in smaller battles before you get into the big rewards.
As soon as you’ve got enough cash you should build the wizard’s house, and use him whenever you enter the dungeon. You can grind earlier levels to strengthen your characters, but it’s not really necessary.
Craft Craft Craft
The more gear you build, the more you’ll have to equip when you send your warriors out. That’s really going to help you out, and the equipment you build is often much stronger than the stuff you’ll collect from your runs into the dungeon.
After every attempt you should head to the blacksmith and see what you can build. You should be aiming to be stronger every time you go to battle, and this is a great way to do it.
Get The Beds
Upgrading your tavern is super important. Adding a bed is one of the best ways to ensure the pub is as enticing as possible for new adventurers. Try and save up quickly and get the beds in place as soon as you possibly can.
When they’re there, focus on picking up new sodas. These are going to entice stronger and more useful characters to come and stay – healers are especially useful, because they let you focus your other characters on dealing damage.
