QuestBall is a reimagining of Pong. It throws in some fantasy elements, adds special moves and keeps things interesting with different levels that throw obstacles in your way.
It’s a pretty simple game to get to grips with, but we’ve uncovered some hints, tips and tricks that are going to ensure you’re winning as many games of historically inaccurate power-tennis as you can.
Have you played QuestBall? Got your own suggestions to share? Maybe you’re stuck on a tricky part of the game and you’re looking for some specific help? Make sure you let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the article.
Before we get there, though, here are the very best hints, tips and tricks for QuestBall.
Time Things Right
It’s important to get to grips with the timing of your swings. This takes a bit of practice, but once you’ve nailed it you’re going to be returning every shot with venom. It’s also important to understand the directions of your swings and how they change the ball’s trajectory.
You want to try and hit the ball at an angle so you’re not just hitting it back to where your opponent is stood. That means standing slightly to the side of where the ball is headed; make sure you don’t go too far though, otherwise you’ll be looking at a swing and a miss.
You’ll find a bunch of powerups appearing as you play. These are super useful and can really change the flow of a fight. They’ll make your ball move in different ways, explode and damage your enemies and much, much more.
Try and pick them up whenever you can and you’ll be surprised how much easier it is defeating your foes. Remember you need to turn the power-ups on by tapping on the bar at the very bottom of the screen.
Losing all of your health points will forfeit a game, no matter how many points you’ve accrued. You lose HP by getting hit by another character’s special move, or by taking a thwack from one of the environmental hazards.
Keep an eye on your HP and be extra careful if you’re getting close to dying. It can be really frustrating to lose a match you were about to win when you get smacked by a rock flying in from the side.
Learn The Levels
It’s important to learn what you’re going to be facing on each level. Sometimes there’s going to be projectiles flying in, other times you’re going to have to avoid obstacles popping up to reflect your shots and ruin your rally.
Once you know what to expect, you’re going to be in a much better place to achieve victory. You can learn more by playing single games against the various opponents before you take them on in Quest mode.
