Choose Cubes

When you’re faced with a choice between adding more cubes to your stack or grabbing more gems, you should always pick the cubes. It might sound counter-intuitive, but you’ll earn more in the long run if you’ve got a taller stack.

Snagging a few extra gems at the cost of a few extra cubes is going to be detrimental to your efforts, so if you’ve got the choice, always add the height and not the currency.

Finish Smart

At the end of each level there’s a chance to really make your stack of cubes count. But you’re going to have to be smart about it. When you’re getting towards the end, which is shown by a chequered flag ring, check how many cubes you’ve got.

If you’ve got more than nine, then you should weave through the earlier multiplier bricks and aim to at least smash into the last x10 multiplier wall. If you’ve got fewer than 9, you’re going to come to a halt in the x1 multiplier walls, so try and knock your stack down and finish by hitting a higher scoring wall instead.

What Can You Spend Gems On?

You can spend gems on a number of things. The most important is blocks. At the start of each run you’ll see to the right of the screen a button with a price and a picture of a cube. Buying this immediately and permanently adds one cube to your starting stack. You should aim to buy all of these upgrades as soon as possible.

You can also spend gems to earn more gems while you’re offline. Only start buying these upgrades when you’ve got all of the cube upgrades though. Lastly you can buy new cube skins for 3000 gems a pop. These are just cosmetic though, and should be the last thing you spend on.
