There are secret walls on a lot of the levels that you can smash open. Once you’ve killed everything on a level, have a quick bounce around and headbutt every wall. You won’t find a secret every time, but more often than not you will.
Secret rooms are usually filled with coins, so you’re going to see your resources going up when you discover one. Be aware that sometimes there’s an enemy waiting for you in the hidden rooms though, so be ready for whatever the game throws at you.
When you’ve got enough cash to upgrade, you definitely should. Try and make sure you’re upgrading evenly, rather than just focusing on one asset to the detriment of all the others.
The first step of every upgrade unlocks the move – start off by unlocking the slam move to give yourself another move in your arsenal. After that, grab the rest of them one by one to get tougher, harder to kill and far more deadly.
Different bosses all have different attack patterns, so don’t get too frustrated if you die the first time you come up against one. Learn from your mistakes and make sure that you know what’s what the next time you get into the fight.
Watch out for smaller enemies as well, because sometimes you’re taking on multiple foes instead of just one massive one. If you’ve got power-ups stored and ready to use, then you should definitely do that when you’re facing a boss – trust us, it’ll make things easier.
Quick taps on either side of the screen are a great way to stay in control of your chicken. The quicker you tap, the straighter you’ll move in an upwards direction.
When you want to move down in a controlled fashion, it’s best to use the slam move. This will fire you in a straight line downwards, and is a lot easier than trying to fall fly around to find the best place to fall.
