Mario Kart Tour Vancouver Tour Challenges List: Driver Wearing a Dress, Snowpeople, Ring Race, Glide 2,000, and More

Mario Kart Tour’s Vancouver Tour is live now, bringing with it the usual collection of new courses, drivers, karts, gliders, challenges, and more. We’re interested in the challenges in particular with this guide. We’ll list all of them and provide tips on how to complete them.

Tour Challenges 2

• Do 5 Rocket Starts: You can perform this over numerous races. To perform a rocket start, tap and hold on the screen the moment the 2 appears in 3-2-1 at the beginning of a race.
• Land 5 hits with Bananas: You can perform this over numerous races. Use Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Morton, or Waluigi (Bus Driver) and a glider with the Banana Plus special skill to make this easier.
• Land 10 hits with Bob-ombs: You can perform this over numerous races. Use Shy Guy, Roy, Wario, Waluigi, Black Shy Guy, Mario (Musician), Mario (Hakama), King Boo (Luigi’s Mansion), or Wario (Hiker) and a glider with Bob-omb Plus to make this easier.
• Take out 5 goats: You can perform this over numerous races. Goats are plentiful on Daisy Hills so play there. You can take out a goat by simply driving into it or using a projectile-based item.
• Earn a score of 7,000 or higher using a driver with a hat: Play as one of the following drivers on their favoured course and aim to win:

  • Baby Luigi
  • Mario

  • Wario

  • Red Koopa (Freerunning)
  • Metal Mario
  • Mario (Musician)
  • Rosalina (Halloween)

• Get a combo count of x20 or higher: Use a glider on its favoured course and play on a T course. Aim to pull off as many stunts as you can to keep the combo train rolling.
• Earn a score of 8,000 or higher using a driver wearing a crown: Use one of the following drivers on their favoured courses and aim to win:
  • King Boo
  • King Boo (Luigi’s Mansion)
  • Peachette
  • Daisy
  • Rosalina
  • Peach
  • Baby Rosalina
  • Baby Peach
  • Baby Daisy
  • Pink Gold Peach
  • Baby Peach (Cherub)
  • Rosalina (Aurora)
• Earn a score of 10,000 or higher on 5 courses: Try and play as a favoured driver whenever possible and always aim to win. Play on at least 150cc to maximise your points.
• Race in every course of every cup, including bonus challenges: This one’s easy: just finish every single race and challenge in this tour. You don’t even have to win.

Tour Challenges 1

• Do 20 Jump Boosts: You can perform this over numerous races. To complete this challenge faster, perform the “Do Jump Boosts” challenge or play on T tracks, which typically perform a lot of opportunities to jump boost.
• Land 3 hits with Green Shells: You can perform this over numerous races. Use one of the following racers with a glider that has the Green Shell Plus special skill:
  • Koopa Troopa
  • Dry Bones
  • Iggy
  • Lakitu
• Get a Fantastic combo a total of 10 times: You can perform this over numerous races. A Fantastic combo requires you to perform at least nine actions in quick succession, and is easier to pull off on a T course. You can use a favoured glider to extend the amount of time you have between actions too.
• Land 3 hits with Bananas in a single race: Use one of the following drivers with a glider that has the Banana Plus special skills:
  • Morton
  • Donkey Kong
  • Diddy Kong
  • Waluigi (Bus Driver)
• Get 1st place 3 times using a driver wearing a dress: You can perform this over numerous races, and you don’t have to win the races in a row. Drivers with dresses include:
  • Baby Peach
  • Baby Daisy
  • Baby Rosalina
  • Peach
  • Daisy
  • Toadette
  • Rosalina
  • Peachette
  • Pauline
  • Rosalina (Halloween)
  • Pink Gold Peach
  • Daisy (Holiday Cheer)
  • Pauline (Party Time)
  • Baby Peach (Cherub)
  • Rosalina (Aurora)
• Take out 5 snowpeople: You can perform this over numerous races. You’ll find snowpeople on any of the snowy courses, which include:
  • Frappe Snowland
  • DK Pass
  • Vanilla Lake 1
• Pass through every ring in the Ring Race bonus challenge of the Mario Cup: This one is self-explanatory. Simply don’t miss a single ring while performing this bonus challenge to pass this.
• Get 1st place without crashing: Play on 50cc and hold onto defensive items to limit the chance of crashing. You might want to turn off Auto-item for the purposes of this challenge.
• Cause opponents to crash 3 times while gliding: You can perform this over numerous races. Hold onto Red Shells during races that feature gliding and use them as soon as you’re in the air.

Gold Challenges

• Do a total of 3 Slipstream boosts: You can perform this over numerous races. Play on 50cc and repeatedly fall back, perform a slipstream boost, and repeat. You can perform a slipstream boost by getting up close behind another racer until you see air streaming either side of your kart. Hold this position until you perform a boost.
• Land 5 hits with Red Shells: You can perform this over numerous races. Use a glider with Red Shell Plus to make this challenge a lot easier.
• Get 1st place in a race 5 times: You can perform this over numerous races. We recommend playing on 50cc until you complete this challenge, as it’s a lot easier to get 1st place on this mode.
• Finish a race in Frenzy mode: Frenzy requires you to get three of the same items out of an item box, so you’ll need to play as a driver on their favoured course. Aside from that, this challenge requires luck more than anything else.
• Earn a score of 10,000 or higher on a T course: Play as a driver on their favoured course and aim to win to maximise your points. Perform as many stunts as possible and keep that combo climbing. Using a favoured glider will help with that.
• Get 1st place in a 150cc or higher race 3 times in a row: Play on a shorter course like Ghost Valley repeatedly until you complete this challenge.
• Glide a distance of 2,000 or longer using a driver with a mustache: Rock Rock Mountain is your best bet for this challenge, as it features several long gliding sections. Drivers with mustaches include:

  • Mario (Musician)

• Get 1st place in a 200cc race 3 times: You don’t have to win the races in a row to complete this challenge, so we recommend just playing on 200cc until this challenge is complete.
• Get 1st place in a race in Vancouver 5 times: Again, you don’t have to win these races in a row so just complete the Vancouver Tour and finish this off when you’re done.
