BitLife just received a massive update that introduces a bunch of new ways to be naughty. It goes by the name of Criminal Update and allows you to go to be a delinquent, go to juvenile detention, and perform a wealth of new crimes including bank robbery, shoplighting, porch piracy, and train robbery.

It’s the latter we’re going to focus on in this guide, as it’s this particular activity that’s proven the most troublesome for both us and the BitLife audience. We’ve used a lot of trial and error and scoured Reddit and Twitter for advice and we’ve got a pretty good handle on it at this point. Check out below for our tips and tricks.

BitLife Train Robbery Guide

How to Perform a Train Robbery

Okay, so before we get into the specifics of how the new train robberies work, let’s just give you a quick lowdown on exactly how to initiate the new activity.

As soon as you’re 18, all of the crimes become available. You’re going to want to tap on ‘Activities’ on the bottom right of the screen, scroll down to ‘Crime’, and choose ‘Train Robbery’, which is located at the bottom of the list.

You’ll then have to choose the train you want to rob and the time of day that you want to try and rob it.

Why do Train Robberies Never Work?!

So we’ve scoured Reddit and Twitter and tried ourselves numerous times, and it really does seem like pulling off the perfect train robbery isn’t easy. The trains just never seem to show up – just like in real life.

However, answers were forthcoming online. It seems to us that you can only rob trains at certain times of the day: those listed. Basically, the time in real life has to match that in BitLife when you go to rob a train.

Frustratingly, that would seem like you can’t just endlessly rob trains, but given that it’s such a lucrative source of income, it does make sense that you can’t do it over and over again.
