Happy New Year! Mario Kart Tour certainly wants to make it so, kicking off a brand new Tour that showers you with free Rubies and returns every single Spotlight Character to the pipe alongside all of the usual new stuff.

That includes new Drivers, Karts, Gliders, Rewards, Challenges, and more. We’re going to detail all of that below so you know what to expect.

• Land 10 hits with Bananas
• Use Lightning
• Earn a score of 8,000 or higher on a T course
• Get 1st place in a race 3 times in a row
• Earn a score of 5,000 or higher using a driver wearing gloves
• Take out 3 Thwomps
• Hit a kadomatsu with an item 3 times in a single race

Gold Challenges

• Do 20 Ultra Mini-Turbo boosts
• Use a Bullet Bill 3 times
• Get 1st place in a 200cc race 3 times
• Land 3 hits with Green Shells in a single race
• Earn a score of 9,000 or higher using a driver with a hat
• Cause an opponent to crash while gliding
• Land 5 hits with fireballs
• Get 1st place without crashing
• Glide a total distance of 5,000
