Black Desert Mobile is finally here, offering a miniature version of the hit PC and console MMORPG. It shares many of the same systems as its big brother, but there’s an equal amount of new stuff, which is why we’re running this guide series.

In this guide, we’re going to take a look at Black Spirit Mode. We’ll explain exactly what it is, why you should care, and how you can make the most of it. Or, if it’s something else you’re looking for, check out all the rest of our Black Desert Mobile content below:

Black Desert Mobile – Black Spirit Mode Explained

What is Black Spirit Mode?

If you’ve already started on your Black Desert Mobile adventure, you’ve almost certainly encountered the Black Spirit by now. This helpful dude teaches you the basics of the game and helps you in numerous ways on your adventure.

However, his most helpful method by far is Black Spirit Mode, which lets you automate one of three different activities while you’re offline. These include:

  • Auto Hunt: Farm monsters for experience and loot.
  • Auto Gathering: Gather crafting resources.
  • Auto Fishing: Fish for, err, fish.

Each mode lasts for three hours after activation, so you will need to pop back regularly to start it over again. Also, you can’t have more than one mode active at any given time, so you can’t automatically hunt monsters and fish – it’s one or the other.

How do I Use Black Spirit Mode?

That’s the easy part: simply tap the menu button and on the bottom right of your screen you should see “Black Spirit Mode”. Tap on it and then choose the mode you’d like to activate and you’re done.

If you can’t tap on it, you may not have unlocked it yet. Come back when you’ve beaten the boss Giath and you shouldn’t have any trouble.

How Can I Make the Most of Black Spirit Mode?

Well, first we’d encourage you to figure out what your priorities are. Do you simply want to level up as quickly as possible? Go for Auto Hunt. This will allow your character to battle monsters for XP for three hours while you’re not playing, earning lot as an extra reward.

If crafting is more important to you, including growing and maintaining your camp, Auto Gathering will help you the most. You’ll gather a wide variety of resources while you sleep, work, or do whatever it is that you’re doing that prevents you from using your phone.

Finally, if you need quick cash or food for your pet, you can use Auto Fishing. You can then sell your fish for cold, hard cash or give it to your hungry pet.

We’d also recommend that you try your best to login once every three hours where possible, so you can initiate Black Spirit Mode as soon as it’s run out. Turn on notifications too, so the game can notify you as soon as it’s over – if it has that feature.
