StickyBlock challenges you to push a bunch of coloured blocks to the end of a series of levels, avoiding obstacles that will destroy them. You have to try and ensure that you get a certain number of coloured blocks to the end of a level to progress, as you’ll fail if you fall short.

In this guide, we’re going to help you become a StickyBlock master by walking you through the basics before moving onto some more focused tips and tricks. You won’t be an absolute expert by the end of this guide, but you’ll be pretty darn close.

StickyBlock Beginner’s Guide – How it Works:

StickyBlock is a pretty simple experience. You tap and hold on the screen to start a level, and swipe your finger left and right to move a coloured block in either direction. If you come into contact with a white block, it will match your colour and move along with you.

As you progress through the level, you’ll encounter black blocks and objects. If one of your coloured blocks touches these it will get destroyed. This is unavoidable, as you’ll face walls of dark objects you have to pass with only a thin section that you can pass through safely.

We’d recommend trying your best to create a long and thin section of coloured blocks where possible, as that will allow you to bring the highest number of blocks to the end of the level. This is important, as you need to fulfill a quota of coloured blocks by the time you reach the end, or you’ll fail.

StickyBlock Tips and Tricks:

Now that you understand the basics, let’s take a look at some more focused tips and tricks to help you get through the tough later levels:

  • Swipe frantically left and right to pick up spaced out blocks: When you encounter lots of white blocks spaced apart from each other, we recommend swiping frantically left and right to collect as many as possible. They’re impossible to gather otherwise.
  • Try and push blocks into a thin straight line: When you get a collection of white blocks together, you can swipe blocks as you gather them to push them in a certain direction. We recommend jiggling them by swiping left and right gently to try and encourage them to go in a long and straight line, allowing you to bring a few more with you past the black block sections.
  • You have to accept losing a certain number of blocks: You’re not going to collect all of the blocks, so give up on that idea. The layout of the black shapes makes it virtually impossible not to lose a certain number of blocks. The goal is to try and create a thin line of blocks to prevent losing as many as possible.
  • Plan ahead: At the beginning of a level, take a glance ahead and at the number of blocks you need to collect and try and plan a path that will get you the most blocks. You won’t be able to see most of the track, but you’ll see a solid chunk to get you in good stead.
  • You can lose your first blocks: As long as you’ve picked up more blocks along the way, you can lose the initial blocks. So go ahead and be reckless.
