Pokémon Rumble Rush is a brand new action RPG that challenges you to battle your way through a wide variety of stages as you collect hordes of Pokémon. As you collect more powerful Pokémon you’ll face bosses, which drop ores that you can refine to upgrade your Pokémon.

You can battle entirely with one hand, by tapping to attack and swiping to dodge powerful attacks. It’s simple stuff, but it doesn’t need to be any more complex than it is. It’s all just about collecting them Pokémon.

In this guide we’re going to help you catch them all by providing a bunch of tips and tricks. We’ll walk you through how the experience works then provide you some pointers on how to battle, upgrade your Pokémon, and collect more rewards. You’ll be a heck of a Pokémon trainer in no time.

Pokémon Rumble Rush Beginner’s Guide – How it Works:

Pokémon Rumble Rush challenges you to collect them all over again. It’s made up of a series of different stages, each of which is themed around a particular Pokémon. If you really want to collect a Rattata, you’re going to have to find the Rattata stage.

To find a Pokémon you need to drop a feather to search an area. You’ll isolate a particular location that a certain breed of Pokémon appears in and you can head there to try and catch one.

To catch a Pokémon you basically battle them until you collect one as a drop. You choose a Pokémon to battle with and they move automatically towards the nearest enemy. You can tap to attack and swipe to dodge, so the entire game can be played with one hand.

At the end of the level you’ll face a mini boss, which you have to defeat to collect your winnings. This includes any Pokémon drops you’ve received during a level and a cash reward. You may also get special rewards like a feather or something.

The overall goal is to beat a series of bosses littered around the map, but you can only face one when you fulfil a series of criteria. Usually this just involves finding a Pokémon of a certain CP (combat power).

The problem is, bosses are the best ways to collect feathers so you won’t get showered with different types of Pokémon between bosses. Instead, you have to grind any previous stages you’ve unlocked for more powerful versions of a particular Pokémon that you can use to tackle the boss stage.

Beat a boss and you’ll get a piece of ore that you can refine for Pokémon upgrades and a feather, which will allow you to search the area for different types of Pokémon. At this point, the cycle repeats.

Pokémon Rumble Rush – Tips and Tricks:

Now that you understand the basics, we’ll include some tips and tricks below to help you get the most out of the experience:

  • Swipe to avoid powerful boss attacks: There’s no point dodging regular enemy’s attacks – they’re not powerful enough to do any real damage. Just focus on tapping them down with your attacks. We do recommend that you dodge boss attacks though, as these can do some real damage. Swipe away from them when they start to charge.
  • Keep a constant cycle of ore refinements: Whenever you beat a boss, you’ll get a piece of ore or two, which you can refine over time. We recommend always having a piece of ore getting refined as that way you’ll keep the rewards coming in.
  • Use your most powerful Pokémon: Each time you beat a level, take a glance through your Pokémon and make sure you switch to the one that has the highest CP. To make this easier, you can actually order them in terms of CP.
  • Grind previous stages for more powerful Pokémon: Whenever you haven’t got a powerful enough Pokémon to take on a boss, just go through a previous stage and see what you can collect. It makes sense to try and collect a Pokémon that can exploit an elemental weakness of the boss’s too, so bear that in mind.
  • Collect your challenge rewards: As you play you’ll complete challenges, which reward you with gems. Make sure to collect your rewards though as it’s easy to forget.
