Sega has announced that Fist of the North Star: Legends Revive will launch in the west on iOS, following its Japanese reveal earlier this year. That’s excellent news for fans.

Fist of the North Star is a manga series that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world following a nuclear war that’s left the world completely and utterly destroyed.

First of the North Star Legends Revive Takes Place During the Events of the Manga Series

The main character, Kenshiro, is one of the few remaining survivors who just so happens to be the successor of a deadly martial art, Hokuto Shinken, that can kill people from within by attacking a bunch of pressure points. The death sequences are very gnarly.

Kenshiro dedicates his light to fighting the various different evil factions in the world – some of which are run by martial artists who trained at his same school.

Legends Revive, the mobile game, takes place during the events of the manga, and sees you build your own squad of heroes to battle Kenshiro’s enemies. There are tons of characters to collect, including Heart, members of the Hokuto and Nanto schools, and many more.

Android users can pre-register directly on Google Play (link at the top of this page) right now, while those on iOS will have to do so on the official site. We recommend you all check that out anyway, as it includes more information and will give you a taste of the game in action.
