Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box Just Launched Out of Nowhere on Mobile

Level-5 just launched the excellent adventure Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box on iOS and Android out of nowhere.

The Diabolical Box is the second game in the Professor Layton franchise, and sees the eponymous professor and his assistant Luke investigating the mysterious death of Dr. Andrew Schrader – Layton’s friend and mentor.

Cue an adventure that sees you solve over 150 brand new puzzles in a variety of styles, including sliding, matchstick, trick questions, and more. There’s also a bunch of fun minigames to play when you’re not in the mood to tax your brain.

The entire game has been fully remastered in 3D, and looks absolutely gorgeous on mobile. It also features tons of voice acting and animated cutscenes, which helps bring the world to life like never before.
