The time has finally come for a zombie invasion in the PUBG Mobile world. Take on hoards of the undead and squads of the living in the new limited time event, Survive Till Dawn. From February the 19th you can take home the tastiest chicken dinner yet, so let’s get you prepared.

PUBG Zombie mode

If you have been ignoring the hype around the highly anticipated PUBG zombie game mode, allow me to catch you up. For a limited time, there will be an event added into PUBG Mobile where zombies can pop right out of the ground wherever you are.

These hoards don’t just contain your standard zombie, as in the one who stumbles towards you at a reasonable pace. There are spitters, zombies who launch acid balls towards you with incredible accuracy. Big fat zombies that make dashes towards you with meat cleavers. Plus, there are large zombies with shields who block all your bullets while slowly trudging towards you.

So there aren’t many points here awarded for originality, but if it works then why complain. The hoards of zombies will contain good mixes of each type, the longer into the night, the more zombies will spawn. Now I have told you what you are up against, it’s time to tell you how to survive the night.

Zombie see, zombie do

  • Be difficult to kill. If you want to survive the night, you will need a good area to defend. This means making the zombies work hard to get near you. Being out in a field is a sure way to be overrun as they can attack you from any direction. Taking control of a building at least limits the directions from where you can be attacked.
  • Get the high-ground Anakin! One of the best places you can be is high up, preferably on the roof. This way the zombies need to make their way up to you, giving you time to prepare. Also, if you happen to get overrun, being on the roof means you can flee in any direction, instead of being inside a room with hundreds of zombies.
  • You are not alone. Although zombies are a big threat, remember the aim of the game is a chicken dinner. Don’t forget there are other players out there who are more than happy to shoot at you rather than a zombie. So get your priorities straight, an enemy human is way more dangerous than a zombie.
  • Adapt to kill. It’s possible that ammo may become an issue when taking on the undead, so you will need to pick up what they drop. If you are lucky, they will drop ammo for the gun you are using. If not, then be prepared to pick up another gun, the higher the rate of fire the better.
  • Avoid the zombies at the start. Shooting at zombies at the start of the game will give your position away to the other players. Already the zone is smaller than usual so people will be closer together. Avoid killing the zombies unless you have to, or have a silencer.
  • Land smart. As mentioned above, the map starts with a zone so you will have fewer options for landing. This means it’s more important than ever to land in a good place where you can get looted up without interruptions. If you are a good player, then don’t be afraid to take on players before the zombies become your priority.
  • Follow the zombies. If you hear shots but are not sure where they came from, look for a building surrounded by zombies. If you can’t see the players in the windows, be sure to check the roof. It’s worth keeping your distance because they will have the high ground.
  • Think about chokepoints. If you have ever played a game with zombies, then you will know all about running a train and funnelling your prey. This is the same for PUBG as you should position yourself in places where they will have to run straight at you rather than come up from behind. Think about where you can funnel the zombies, or at least slow them down.
