A lot of us have been wondering about PUBG whether there is anything to spend your BP on or if you can connect a controller to your phone. Well, these are great questions that may not have a conclusive answer behind them, let’s fix that.

Does PUBG Mobile have controller support?

To answer this question quickly, let me answer this with one word, no. PUBG Mobile as of right now does not allow you to connect a controller directly and they will ban you if you use a third-party app like Octopus.

So, does this mean no one on mobile can use a controller to play PUBG? Once again, I will answer this with one word, maybe. Players can get away with an alternative to an entire controller, triggers. Attaching triggers to your phone is a compromise to an entire controller, instead, you can now aim and shoot a lot easier.

What is a trigger and why is it allowed?

Well, a trigger is very much like the L2 or R2 on a PS4 controller, an easy to press lever that is normally used for aiming and shooting. So, in the world of mobile gaming, a trigger is a third-party attachment clipped onto the phone. When you flick your trigger, a mini stylus presses onto the screen and counts as if you pressed the screen.

All you have to do to make these triggers work is to go into your settings in PUBG Mobile and customise your controls. You should place the buttons directly under where the trigger contacts your phone screen. I recommend moving the aim and shoot buttons to under the triggers, but it’s up to you.

What do I spend my BP on?

There are many things in PUBG to purchase or unlock, however, which of these items or crates can I purchase with BP. Keeping with the theme of answering questions as simply as I can, there is only one thing you can purchase with BP, a Soldier’s Crate.

A Soldier’s Crate has around 30 items inside, most of which are clothes. Buying one of these crates costs 700BP, but it increases every time until 7000BP. This amount returns to 700, but it takes at least a day to do so, if your patient it’s well worth a crate or two every day.

That’s it, one crate?

Well, this may sound disappointing, especially if you have been saving up for a while. But don’t be disheartened, there is more to do then just collect average items of clothing. After you’ve opened the crate numerous times, you will have several duplicates. You can dismantle these duplicates to collect Silver Fragments which you can use on a whole heap of things.

To dismantle your duplicates go to your inventory and click the ‘Dismantle’ button. After doing so you will select which items you want to dismantle. Whether it’s an item of clothing you own, a vehicle skin or a limited time offer you can scrap it. Dismantling anything other than a Time-Limited Item (TLI) will reward you with silver, dismantling a TLI will earn you BP.

What do I spend my Silver Fragments on?

If you want to know what you can spend Silver Fragments on, then go to the Store and select ‘Redeem’. Inside this section is an array of items you can purchase using your fragments. Items include weapon skins, clothes and paints which can cost under a hundred or several thousand fragments. So keep opening Soldier’s Crates and dismantling your duplicates.
