The War of Genesis: Battle of Antaria is the latest mobile strategy RPG from Joycity – the Korean studio that brought you the official Pirates of the Caribbean mobile game.

Based on the PC series of the same name, The War of Genesis sees you travelling around a sprawling fantasy world in both an airship and a giant machina, meeting other players, interacting with NPCs, and killing infinite monsters.

These machina take the form of huge, ancient, pilotable robots, like the ones in Pacific Rim. They are incredibly cool in action – just take a look at the trailer below.

Your airship in The War of Genesis is your base of operations. These floating steampunk fortresses contain various facilities to power your war effort, including a forge for crafting and upgrading equipment, a research centre, a prison for holding captured enemies for ransom, and much more.

It’s a novel set-up, giving you command over not only your party but also your airship and your machina. But under the hood The War of Genesis is a classic RPG. You’ll need to assemble a party of rangers, paladins, and mages before hunting down evil skeletons, evil orcs, and goblins (also evil).

Armed with your perfect party of fantasy badasses, you can take on monsters and raid bosses in the PvE, and pick on other players in the PvP – each bout a battle in a massive real time war.

The War of Genesis also comes with a sophisticated guild system. Not only does joining a guild give you boosts, resources, and opportunities to trade, but it also makes you a shareholder. Anything you invest makes the guild stronger and more resilient, which helps you in turn.

And if you feel like taking a break from the community you can not only play the single player campaign but also create your own missions with the custom story mode. Even better, you can share these missions with the community, creating a never-ending flow of new content into the game.

The War of Genesis is available right now on Google Play and the App Store, and it’s totally free to download.
