There comes a time in everyone’s life where there is grass that needs to be cut. Thanks to Voodoo, we can now make a game out of it. Take control of two saw blades and slice your way through awkwardly designed fields of overgrown grass. Does this sound like a puzzler you would enjoy? Then read on for some top tips!

How do I cut Grass?

It’s nice and simple, all you have to do is time when you press on the screen and your blades will rotate based on where you pressed. Once you learn the pattern of the saw blades, it should be a piece of cake.

After you click on the screen, your saw blade will lock in place and the previous blade will become the one that rotates. Note how the blades start from the beginning of the level. The first blade spins in a clockwise motion, then when you swap blades the second one spins counter-clockwise.

Grass cutting tips!

  • Learn to walk with your blades. As I mentioned above, there is a pattern for how the blades move. You need to walk your saw discs forward. To get this walking motion, all you have to do is time when you press the screen and the blades will walk forward as if you are walking with your legs as far apart as possible.
  • You don‘t need to wait. If you are in the middle of a field of overgrown grass, you shouldn’t be waiting for your disc to complete a full rotation. This links to what I said above, click quicker to walk your blades through the large patches of grass to clear them quickly.
  • Take your time for the edges. The absolute worst thing you can do in Grass Cut is rush. If you make it to the boss level and fall off the edge of the map, you‘ll have to redo the levels before you progress. So unless you enjoy repetition be careful when going around the edges.
  • Get hay fever as soon as possible. Somewhere in each level are three purple seeds that pop out of the grass and form little flowers. Cut all three flowers up and you will get into Fever mode. In Fever mode, your blades increase in distance apart and the speed in which they rotate. So use this to blitz as much of the level as possible before it runs out.

One last tip to remember is to be patient. Many people try to rush when they are in Fever mode, but I would avoid doing so. Gameplay freezes for a couple seconds during fever mode which totally throws you off in terms of when to click. You should let the game restart before pressing the screen or you risk losing out on your fever.
