Finally, Grapefrukt games have released Holedown for both iOS and Android devices.

What is Holedown?

The aim of the game is simple, chip away at all the blocks below until you hit the planet’s core. The catch is some blocks are indestructible and you only have a finite amount of shots to do as much damage as you can.

While traversing your way to the core of the planet you’ll notice some blocks have crystals inside. These crystals are used for upgrades. What upgrades you choose depend on your style of play. For example, if you’re a maniac and just want to shoot as many balls as possible, there is an upgrade for you. If you are more strategic and want more shots with fewer balls, there is an upgrade for that too.

Hold on, there’s more.

There are six planets to dig through and an endless mode for all you high score chasers out there. Gameplay is intuitive and was designed to be played with one hand. So it’s perfect for train journeys or if someone is droning on and on…

Where do I get it?

You can grab a copy of Holedown from the App Store or Google Play right now.

Simon has been playing portable games since his Game Boy Pocket and a very worn out copy of Donkey Kong Land 2, and he has no intention of stopping anytime soon. Playing Donkey Kong Land 2 that is. And games in general we suppose.
