Getting tired of last week’s new games already? Don’t worry — there are plenty of great new games in store. We’ll have the full round-up tomorrow, but in the meantime, here are five games we’re particularly keen on checking out when they launch tonight:

Dan the Man

Looking for old school, 16-bit style punching and kicking? Dan the Man is a sidescroller that delivers on every fond memory you have from your youth. We’ve been playing this one in soft launch, and we couldn’t be more excited that the worldwide launch is only moments away. This one is from Halfbrick, aka the studio behind Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, so they know a thing or two about making great mobile games.

Jade Empire jadeEmpire[1]

Back before the days of Mass Effect, Bioware played with their RPG formula in a number of settings. Jade Empire was their homage to Eastern Mythologies and Kung Fu movies. It was a fantastic ride when it was first released on the Xbox in 2005, but does it hold up? And can it work well on a touch screen? I  suppose we’ll find out tonight!

Treasure Buster

The next game from the developer behind Slayin’, Treasure Buster has been described by its creator as a mix of Zelda and pinball. If you’re a fan of either (or, more likely, a fan of both), this seems like an easy recommendation to make this week. Slayin’ spent a long time on our homescreens here at Gamezebo. Here’s to hoping Treasure Buster can do the same.

Maximum Car

Maximum Car is the most amount of car allowed by law. I assume. It’s also a new driving game with a chunky art style and a love for the “takedowns” you miss so much from Burnout. Even better, you don’t have to wait until tonight. Maximum Car is available as a free download on the App Store and Google Play right now.

What if Lemmings took place inside classic works of art? That’s the idea behind Inklings, a puzzle game about moving critters to their final destination using a selection of tools (and your wits).
