You may have heard that there’s a new Ghostbusters movie on the way. While fandom seems to be pretty split over whether this is “A Good Idea” or not, the new cast is pretty funny, and you can bet there are going to be plenty of tie-in products coming down the pike.

Case in point: Ghostbusters: Slime City, which is coming to iOS, Android and “select Kindle devices” in July, right around the time the movie hits theaters. Activision hasn’t released a ton of details yet, but the most interesting one concerns crafting your own proton packs. A certain quote from the original movie about an unlicensed nuclear accelerator comes to mind.

The initial press release also promises asynchronous co-op play, the ability to upgrade your headquarters and jobs that can be taken at various points around the city (probably NYC, one would think) to earn new weapons and rewards. Also ghosts, naturally. Plus there’s a new Ghostbusters video game coming to consoles and PC around the same time if you’re into that sort of thing.

We’ll have more info on Ghostbusters: Slime City as it gets closer to release. Until then, try not to be afraid of no ghosts. You know what we mean.
