If you’re a mobile gamer who picked up an iPhone 6S because of how cool that Warhammer game looked during the device’s reveal in September, today is going to be a very good day. The same can be said for those of you who dig terrific fantasy-flavored card games.

If neither of those sound like you? It’s probably not a huge week, but we think you’ll still find something to like.

Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade

warhammer 40000 freeblade

The showcase game from the iPhone 6S announcement is finally available for download, and even better, there’s no initial purchase price. Action and gorgeous graphics sounds good, but I’m more excited to see how the 3D Touch implementation works out.

Mabinogi Duel

If I were to make a shortlist of games that absolutely blew me away this year, Mabinogi Duel would be on it. It’s a quality card game with a strong single player story mode, and a “just one more level” momentum that will keep you hooked. We checked it out in soft launch earlier this Fall — here’s what we had to say.

Last Horizon

Pixeljam, the creator of Potatoman Seeks the Troof and Glorkian Warrior, wants to take you to the stars in his latest release described as a game of “space survival and exploration.”

Carmen Sandiego Returns

carmen sandiego returns

As an old school Carmen Sandiego fan, I’m a little hesitant about this one. Screenshots suggest some puzzle elements, implying this isn’t just the classic Carmen experience. This is probably awesome for a lot of folks… but I miss the days when you needed an almanac to play!

Starlit Adventures

King Tongue

In real life, it’s frowned upon when you try to lick anything you see. But in King Tongue it’s a way of life. As a gorilla among monkeys, you’ll use your tongue as a grappling hook to get through 30 different stages.

Goat Rider

Mike Meade makes good¬†games, and we’re pretty happy¬†about that. The creator of the Mikey Shorts franchise and the microgames Move the Walls and Radical is now challenging you to keep your balance on the back of a goat.

Real Boxing 2 CREED

If you liked Real Boxing, and you like the Rocky franchise, this one is pretty much a no brainer.

Heroes Tactics: Mythiventures

Fantasy tactics get streamlined in the debut mobile title from Newland Canada. Build your own team of heroes, customize them, and jump in the fight.

Super Dangerous Dungeons

super dangerous dungeons

Old school platforming at its finest, Super Dangerous Dungeons challenges players to dodge traps through 48 stages. If the name sounds familiar, there’s a very good chance you’ve played its predecessor, Tiny Dangerous Dungeons.

Tower defense meets mining in this neat little hybrid. Use the loot you mine to build new defenses. Dig your way to success!

Tales of a Viking: Episode 1

tales of a viking

Strategy gamers looking for something a little meatier on the go will want to give Tales of a Viking a try. It’s described as “small-scale,” but it’s also a game where every move you make should be carefully planned out if you want to survive.
