Here’s a strange twist in the saga of LEGO Minifigures Online. The game started as a free browser-only MMO in 2014, then switched to a paid model this summer with a $30 purchase price on Steam and a $5 purchase price on iOS and Android.

And right now, the game is absolutely free on iOS, because… we don’t know why.

You’ll still be paying full price on Android, and it’s 50% off on Steam — but if you’re curious about what a family friendly MMO looks like, there’s no cheaper option than free. Hopefully you have an iPhone or iPad in hiding somewhere in that LEGO bin.
