If I were to make a list of things I have a surplus of, “stress” and “love for pinball” would be circled in magic marker. With that in mind, you can imagine my surprise when I opened my inbox this morning to discover ZenDots, an upcoming iOS game that promises to address both of my passions / problems.

The next game from Little White Bear Studios, “ZenDots merges the concepts of pinball and Breakout together, with a dash of Nyquil thrown in to chill people out,” developer Craig Kemper tells us.

After checking out the trailer and hearing that mellow soundtrack, we’re inclined to agree with him.

Multiball is always a stressful time in pinball, but when the object of the game is to simply dislodge the balls (rather than desperately struggling to keep them in play), the added bonus of bashing them around looks less like a frantic struggle and more like a friendly bonus.

We’ll find out just how stress-free ZenDots is soon enough. The game will be launching on the App Store as a free download on Thursday, April 16th.
