Everybody likes surprises, right? Well here’s one: some of this week’s Wednesday night releases aren’t coming on Wednesday night. Instead they’re live right now.
Not all of them, mind you, but of the games we’re most excited for, two are available for download as we speak. So what are you waiting for? Get reading, and then get downloading!
Marvel: Contest of Champions
We’ve been playing it in soft launch, and it’s everything you want it to be (unless you want it offer a Street Fighter level of complexity; if that’s the case, move on). Collect and fight with your favorite Marvel heroes in the latest release from Kabam.
You want to build an island paradise? Seabeard might be able to scratch that itch. A little bit Animal Crossing, a little bit high seas adventure, Seabeard hopes to capture that AAA village-building vibe the 3DS-owning kids like so damned much.
If you’re looking for a game that mixes stealth mechanics with puzzles, this should be fairly high on your radar. Released just a few weeks ago for desktop devices, Sneaky Sneaky sneaks its way onto the App Store tonight. (wait? It’s already live? BONUS!)
Destructamundo From Choice Provisions’ Jason Cirillo, aka the mind behind the sublime retro throwback Woah Dave!, comes a game about blowing up EVERYTHING. (We never would have guessed it from the name.) Like Sneaky Sneaky, this one is also out a little early. Hooray!
Destructamundo’s release today was accidental, a representative from Choice Provisions has informed us. It’s been pulled from the App Store and will hopefully launch soon. In the meantime, if you managed to snag it this morning, congratulations! You’re a member of a very exclusive club.
