Save Our Village Preview

Imagine you’re just sitting around. Chillin’. Sipping a coffee, maybe. Suddenly, a Viking lumbers up to you. “Hey,” he begins, “How’s it going? Listen, I don’t know you and you don’t know me, but do you think you could, y’know, lend us a hand and save our village?” Of course the only correct answer is “Yes,” and given that the Viking exists in the digital realm of Save Our Village, you don’t even have to pull yourself into a standing position before committing yourself to these heroic deeds.

Slay monsters and rebuild your home sweet home in Save Our Village

Imagine you’re just sitting around. Chillin’. Sipping a coffee, maybe. Suddenly, a Viking lumbers up to you. “Hey,” he begins, “How’s it going? Listen, I don’t know you and you don’t know me, but do you think you could, y’know, lend us a hand and save our village?” Of course the only correct answer is “Yes,” and given that the Viking exists in the digital realm of Save Our Village, you don’t even have to pull yourself into a standing position before committing yourself to these heroic deeds.

Save Our Village

Save Our Village is an adventure/building game that’s about monsters that are up to no good. When a bunch of baddies lay waste to a village, it’s up to you to help put it back together. To do so, you need to recruit heroes to fight off the remaining monsters that presumably enjoy jumping up and down on the village’s charred remnants. Following that, you need to rescue citizens, recover stolen treasure, and rebuild houses, businesses, castles, and most importantly, taverns.

Save Our Village offers a lot of touch-screen battles wherein you slash and tap the screen to attack and defend. Most of your fighting takes place in dungeons; over 20 in all. There are also tons of spells to master, and dozens of heroes to hire. Your village must continually produce food to feed the war machine, because it doesn’t function on an empty stomach (“Wizard needs food badly).

Another early Canadian release, Save Our Village should be coming to the rest of the world soon. You might want to make a big sandwich to tide you over for the first few battles, since crops don’t start producing pancakes in a huge hurry.
