Everybody has a list of activities they’d rather perform in lieu of flying out of a major international airport. “Tame wolverines” is a popular option, as is “stick own head in deep-fryer.” The bad news is, we all have to patronize airports once in a while. But on the bright side, we can run perfect airports in our fantasies. That’s why Digital Chocolate is developing Skyport, an airport management game for iOS.

Build airports and try to make flying a pleasant, pain-free experience with Skyport

Skyport

In Skyport, your mission is to take over the newly-opened airport in Skyport City and make it the world’s greatest destination to fly out of. It’s a big job, but don’t worry, you have a great advisor on your side named Fly McCloud. Fly is an airplane, so he knows a thing or two about the friendly skies.

That’s right. He’s an airplane. In fact, all the planes in Skyport are anthromorphic vehicles that sport big eyes and wide grins. Think of it as insurance: if you screw up and turn your airport into a smoking, twisted wreck, oh boy, are you ever going to feel super-bad about it. Solution: don’t screw up.

Your planes are all youngsters who dream of becoming veteran flyers. If they rack up enough hours, they can fly around the world on their own and will eventually return to you with money (we won’t ask how they got it). Meanwhile, you must build up your airport by unlocking new planes, assembling buildings, laying down runways, and stacking up parking lots.

Skyport will hit the App Store soon, so stay with Gamezebo for more information. In the meantime, if you find yourself booked to fly, don’t despair. In a little while, you’ll be able to take out your phone or tablet and create the best danged airport in the world.
