Minoraxis looks to blend four unique characters into a single story for their upcoming action RPG Exitium

If you’re looking to visit Vardonia anytime in the near future, I’ve got some bad news for you: the place is in turmoil. Everything’s falling apart because of the kingdoms of Arkan and Abylon, and it’s up to you to control one of four distinct characters in Exitium: Saviors of Vardonia as they journey to save the day.

Each character represents a specific type of character class: Kiron Asha is the Bezerker, Gallen Haleck is the Mage, Alia Arulan is the Priestess, and Jason Idohain is the Paladin. Each of these classes has a different fighting style; not only that, but each individual character plays a different part in the overall plot, and their individual stories are all intertwined.

Gameplay looks like it’ll be based on classic RPGs of the SNES/Genesis era, with players running around large maps and engaging in real-time combat with the various examples of fantasy wildlife that’s roaming around. It also looks as though the control setup is going to be pretty standard to this type of game, with a virtual D-pad, attack and special skill/magic buttons, and a number of slots for special items.

On top of all this, the game looks to have some truly stunning visuals. The graphics alternate between hand-painted portraits (which are used during cutscenes to further the story) and top-down retro graphics, though the latter certainly look impressive based on the game’s trailer.

Finally, Exitium: Saviors of Vardonia is set to feature over 800 different quests, missions, and adventures, meaning that there’s going to be a ton of content for players to enjoy. There’s also going to be an online “flea market” that will allow players to trade with each other, but not too much information about this feature is available yet.

The game is due out on August 11th.
