Hollywood Player social games raise funding

Exponential Entertainment, the company behind the Hollywood Player series of movie trivia games, has just confirmed that the company has raised a total of $1.7 million in funding and is in talks to bring that number up to $3.25 million.

Exponential Entertainment, the company behind the Hollywood Player series of movie trivia games, has just confirmed that the company has raised a total of $1.7 million in funding and is in talks to bring that number up to $3.25 million.

Founded by Bill Kuper and Dave Long, the minds behind the popular DVD board game franchise Scene-it?, Exponential Entertainment develops movie trivia games for Facebook, the iPhone, and the web. As of this writing the company has launched 9 games; 2 on Facebook, 1 on the iPhone, and 6 on HollywoodPlayer.com. The company is just now beginning to add social features such as friend challenges to their products.
