KIXEYE continues synchronous strategy with “Live Battles” in War Commander

Oct 17, 2012

Since its release, one of my favorite strategy games around has been Outwitters. The fog of war, the thrill of watching your opponent step into the trap you laid three turns ago...it’s all great. Yet there’s something to be said about the frenzy of synchronous multiplayer; of jumping into the fray live and fighting it out tooth and nail. And KIXEYE certainly agrees.

Tiny Wings, big update: hands-on impressions of Tiny Wings 2.0

Jul 12, 2012

On one hand, Andreas Illiger has put us in a tough position. By promising the world “Tiny Wings 2,” and instead delivering an update to his original, high-flying smash hit, he’s cut us off at the pass where a review is concerned. You see, we tend play and rate a game only if it’s an entirely new beast, so to speak. On the other hand, however? We just got more Tiny Wings! That’s awesome.

New Horizons: Zynga adds live multiplayer to Bubble Safari, takes Ruby Blast multiplatform

Jun 26, 2012

For fans of Zynga, today continues to be a pretty great day. Amid the hooplah of their “Unleashed” press event, the social gaming big dog has announced new partnerships, promised new games, and revealed new entries in their classic series. Making sure not to leave their existing players in the dust, however, the house that Pincus built went on to announce some new features for things you might be playing right now.

Ticket to Ride Pocket gets asynchronous multiplayer

Feb 2, 2012

We’ve made no secret of our love of board games on mobile devices here at Gamezebo, and Ticket to Ride? It’s one of the absolute best. At least, the iPad version is. The iPhone build, better known as Ticket to Ride Pocket, seemed to be missing a little too much from its big brother to be held in quite as high esteem. At least – it did until now. Days of Wonder have just announced that thanks to the game’s latest update, Ticket to Ride Pocket finally has online multiplayer – and it’s even better than you might expect.

Gun Bros latest update brings real time multiplayer

Jul 1, 2011

When Gun Bros launched for iOS back in October, one of the simultaneously best and worst features of the game was its social element. On the one hand, we loved the idea of our characters being tied into our friends’ games so that when we weren’t around, they’d accrue all sorts of benefits simply by existing. On the other hand, this was a big time action game that would’ve been great to play with friends in real time. Glu seems to have heard our cries, as the latest Gun Bros update has delivered the online multiplayer we were all clamouring for.

Multiplayer comes to Infinity Blade this Thursday

May 17, 2011

Infinity Blade rocked our socks off when it came out back in December, but since then, I’ve admittedly spent little time playing it. I seem to be in the minority on this, as many of my friends still find themselves killing the God King over and over again in their endless pursuit for better armor and stronger weapons. But whether your still an active participant in the God King’s slaughter, or have long since moved on to a newer obsession, you’ll want to fire this bad boy up again on May 19th. Developer Chair Entertainment has just confirmed that this will be the day their latest update will be going live, and it can be summed up in a single, glorious word: multiplayer.
