Word Riot Deluxe Review

Although an Internet-only diversion (and Pogo.com exclusive at that), fans of popular TV game shows can't help but be drawn to Word Riot. Despite being a strictly multiplayer endeavor - and one that's built around a fairly limited rule set, no less - there's much to like about the skillfully-presented title, which takes the form of a virtual primetime broadcast. And, of course, diehard fans of the English language, who'll find the outing won't improve your vocabulary so much as text messaging skills and ability to understand Internet parlance, or "leet" speak, as it's known to the online generation.

Merv Griffin's Crosswords Review

For those who don't know, according to Wikipedia, Mervyn Edward "Merv" Griffin, Jr. was an "American talk show host, game show host, entertainer, television personality and raconteur." He also happens to be the creator of Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and several other noteworthy TV programs, including the one on which this shallow and somewhat disappointing new word game for desktop PCs is based. Bummer!

The I Love Lucy Game: Episode 1 Review

It was one of the most-watched television show in its day - I Love Lucy, which ran from 1951 to 1957, starred Lucille Ball as lovable naive housewife Lucy Ricardo and Desi Arnaz as Ricky Ricardo, her charming husband and bandleader.

Jeopardy 2 Review

Answer: The Jeopardy theme. Question: What song was running through my head as I tried to write a clever lead for this review? While my intro might remind you of the popular quiz program -- and put a catchy tune in your head -- it doesn't capture its spirit. To do that, I'd need music and visuals from the series, along with the charismatic personalities millions of fans have come to adore. So how does the new Jeopardy game stack up against such demanding criteria? Let's find out.
