Legacy: World Adventure Review

2 and half Stars

Legacy: World Adventure has players stepping into the shoes of fiery redhead Emily King, the daughter of a storied adventurer who is intent on winning a legendary race around the world and continuing her family’s legacy in the competition. Along the way we encounter more than half a dozen different kinds of puzzles each of which provides a valuable clue about our next destination. It’s kind of like Amazing Race: The Video Game, but with bug eating and rock climbing challenges swapped out for jigsaw and match-three puzzles. Read more»

Bumps Review

3 and half Stars

Physics-based puzzle games like Peggle have proven to be very successful, but an integral part of Peggle's gameplay was the random elements of chance that made each game different. Take away that element, and you end up with Bumps. Read more»

Trial of the Gods: Ariadne's Fate Review

3 and half Stars

If rescuing the princess was as easy as completing a few puzzles then I would totally be storming the castle right now welding nothing but bunch of Sudoku puzzles , but its seems only in the world of puzzle games like Trial of the Gods: Ariadne’s Fate that you can defeat a Cyclops by matching three or more symbols in a row. Guess I’ll have to stick to my day job for now. Read more»

Paradise Quest Review

4 Stars

Popular as casual games have become, you can’t turn anywhere without running into a puzzler based on making horizontal or vertical rows of three or more identical objects. Likewise, there’s no shortage of head-scratchers featuring green, or eco-friendly, themes. But tempted as you may be to lump Paradise Quest into either category as just another nondescript offering given a passing glance, don’t. One of the finest examples we’ve seen of both, it’s sure to be a hit with kids, adults and carbon-conscious players of all interests and backgrounds alike. Read more»

Kitten Sanctuary Review

3 and half Stars

Well, it's not every day you come across a cute little kitten raising game that involves tile matching and alien abductions. That's the premise of Kitten Sanctuary, a quirky match 3 family game that's surprisingly engaging. Don't worry – the space aliens barely feature in the game play, and not a hair on a kitten's head is harmed. Read more»

Imagine a fairytale kingdom packed so full of junk that you could hardly move. No, it's not a hidden object game! The Book of Wanderer: The Story of Dragons Review

3 and half Stars

It’s sometimes difficult to build upon the simple things in puzzle games. While awkwardly-named, The Book of Wanderer: The Story of Dragons provides a lot of fun, with surprisingly deep gameplay, and enough twists and features to make it stand out. Read more»

Alchemist's Apprentice Review

3 and half Stars

Most casual game developers make the mistake of creating titles that are too limited in scope, hoping to ape previous successes with a minimum of time and effort. Alchemist’s Apprentice, a hybrid match-three and hidden object outing, instead makes the opposite error, cramming in everything but the kitchen sink with mixed results. Read more»

Go on a no-pressure vacation in the match-3 game Puzzle Park, where you'll pass through spooky castles, take a ride on the railway, spend time in the ice cream shop, gallop through the Wild West, get your fortune told, enjoy delicious and juicy fruit.  All this action happens with no timer and lots of whiz bang bonuses and power-ups. Australia Zoo Quest Review

2 Stars

Australia Zoo Quest is a game that comes about four years later than it should given its outdated gameplay and associated with Steve "Crocodile Hunter" Irwin, the Australian conservationalist who passed away three years ago. A match-three puzzle game originally released in 2008, the game is built around a license from the Australia Zoo with the goal of progressing through 20 levels – with three difficulty settings each – to unlock some pictures and information about 20 animals that live in the zoo.
