The Wonderful End of the World Review

3 and half Stars

You may not have heard of Dejobaan Games, but you probably should have. After all, according to them, they’ve been “making quality video games for 75 years.” If you can see the inherent problem with that statement, then the kind of tongue-in-cheek humor in The Wonderful End of the World is for you. Plant This! Review

3 and half Stars

Tower defense games - simple tactical battles played out in real-time where you attempt to build a range of strategic roadblocks and turrets to guard against onrushing hordes - are hugely popular on home PCs. Plant This!, which despite its general lack of polish, comes correct where it counts most: Furiously addictive play. Capable of taxing both one's wits and reflexes, it's a great way to kill 15 minutes here and there without having to shift your brain completely into neutral. Read more»

Conga Bugs Review

4 Stars

GameTantra's colorful little Conga Bugs stands out in the crowded marble blasting genre, but not for any one reason. Rather, its mixture of better-than-average graphics, minor but compelling innovations, and fun extras combine to create a game that, while not particuarly original, is nonetheless highly engaging casual entertainment. LUXOR: Quest for the Afterlife Review

4 Stars

More of the same: That's the immediate impression returning fans will get from Luxor: Quest for the Afterlife, the latest in the popular Egyptian-themed action-puzzle series. In an unexpected twist, this instalment mostly focuses on peripheral features, adding a cool narrated storyline, roving targets to pursue and collectible artifacts. Therefore, while still impressive in its own right, the game's nowhere near as much of a leap forward as its immediate predecessor. Read more»

If you're looking for a fresh new game conceptot waste away a lazy Sunday afternoon or to relax after the kids go to bed, take a pass on Fitness Dash. Top Chef Review

3 and half Stars

Cooking games, pioneered by the likes of Cooking Mama and Hot Dish, are nothing new. But Top Chef, based on the hit reality TV show, dares to do something different by tasking players to actually create dishes instead of simply following recipes. But does it succeed, or is it a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth? Read more»

Vanilla and Chocolate Review

2 and half Stars

Take a business simulation like Chocolatier and combine it with a time management title such as Cake Mania and you'll end up with something like Vanilla & Chocolate, a hybrid restaurant game that fuses these two concepts together. Is it a case of two tastes that taste great together? Yes and no, as a few gameplay and technical issues left a bit of a bad taste in our mouths. Read more»
