Welcome to Gamezebo's strategy guide for Zulu's Zoo
GENERAL TIPS
- In most of the areas there can be found stars: collect stars and use them for hints and for credit on tests.
- Accomplishing areas and levels with a high or perfect score will earn you Cheats, which can be used if you need help on passing a Zoo Test.
- If in need of additional stars, try playing one of the four available minigames: Pairs offers the most stars in rewards.
WALKTHROUGH
Check All the Apes for the Rubber Banana
- The tutorial will guide you through the beginning of the first level, helping you find a Star and 2 monkeys (after using a star as a hint at the game's bidding).
- Objects move all over the screen, so be sure to check the screen below as a guide: you may not be able to see a star or monkey because it's temporarily covered or hiding.
- Don't forget to click Monkey #13, who is not in the screenshot below, who will swing across the screen. You can't miss him.
Match Pairs Minigame
- Play the minigame to gather more stars: the less attempts, the more you earn.
- Match the animals in pairs.
Remove All Paper Garbage
- There is a paperboat and a paperairplane that travel across the screen (circled in the screenshot below), so keep an eye out for them. The boat is in the water and the plane flies at about the same level as the owl.
- There is a star hidden underneath the owl's wings. Wait until it spreads its wings and then click on the white star.
Feed the Animals of Africa
- There is a camel which will keep popping in and out of the wall: feed it veggies.
- There is also an alligator which swims in the river: you may have to wait until he appears to feed him (he's circled near the tree stump in the picture below): feed him meat.
Check the Animals of Amazonian Jungle
- You will need to find 6 Fish, which are not marked in the screenshot below: this is because all 6 fish move, all are located in the water near the bottom of the screen, and all are pretty easy to find if you watch for them.
- Since there are so many animals to find in this level, this is how the screenshot below works:
-Red circles are for Monkeys x12
-Green circles are for Green Parrots x5
-Blue circles are for Frogs x4
-White circles are for animals of which you only have to find one:
1. Cheetah
2. Capybara mouse
3. Sloth
4. Pecary pig
5. Tree duck
6. Porcupine
- As always, stars are marked in yellow. One is inside the alligator's mouth which must be open to get the star.
Check All the Fish in the Aquarium
- This one will be divided into two screenshots: Fish x24 and everything else. This is how the colors for everything else works:
-Red circles are for Crabs x2
-Blue circles are for Starfish x3
-White circles are for animals of which you only have to find one:
1. Octopus
2. Seahorse
3. Cuttlefish
4. Shrimp
5. Lobster
6. Jellyfish
- One of the stars is hidden inside a clam shell, which must be open in order to get it.
- There are 24 fish to find: 7 of 24 will swim across the screen. They've all been circled in green in the screenshot below.
- Fish that remain stationary or close-to are circled in blue.
- There is a fish hidden inside a drawer you will have to wait to open at the bottom of the screen.
Zoo Test #1
- There is a 40-Star requirement to take this test. If you don't have 40 stars, you can earn more by playing the Pairs minigame or going back to previous areas and finding more.
- You can automatically solve or pass the test if you have 50 stars (this is optional).
- Part 1: Put the animals in the correct order on the foodchain: lowest on the left and highest on the right. From left to right should be: fish, penguin, seal, orca.
- Part 2: Decide which animals are nocturnal and which function in daylight. Here's the answer:
- Part 3: Place the animals on the food icon of what they like to eat most. On the meat you should have the Pelican and the Seal, and on the veggies should be the Kangaroo and Gazelle.
- Once you've passed the test, you'll be promoted to specialist and can access the other pavilions.
Identify All Wild Beasts
- At the bottom of the screen is a list of animals to find. Click on the animal name first, and then on the corresponding animal in the picture.
Guess the Animal Minigame
- You can earn additional stars by playing this minigame.
- At the bottom of the screen is a list of names. Click on the tiles to reveal parts of the picture, and then make a guess which animal it is. The less amount of tiles your turn, the more stars you'll acquire.
Take Photos in the Terrarium
- For this level, you will only be able to see through the camera as the actual area is blurred. Animals will turn red once you've snapped their picture.
- There are several stars in this level (marked in yellow), one is hiding beneath a butterfly's wing and another underneath a lizard. Wait for both to move in order to snap these.
Remove All the Flies
- A couple flies will fly in and out of the screen: however, they are very large, so you'll notice them.
Check the Freshwater Animals
- There is a star hidden behind the crane. Wait until it puts its beak into the water or click on it to collect the star.
- There's also a turtle hiding inside the stump at the bottom right. Wait until it comes out to click on it.
Check to See if the Animals are OK
- There is a star behind the monkey on the stone monument's head. Wait until he turns to pick it up.
Channels Minigame
- You can earn extra stars with this minigame. For every animal of which you give the correct food, you'll get one star.
- You can only make 3 mistakes.
Take Photos of the Birds
- You will only be able to see through your camera viewfinder for this level.
- There is a star hidden beneath the lizard. Wait until it moves to collect it.
- There is a bird that will fly through the area and isn't stationary: put your viewfinder on the straw roof area to most easily find it and snap a picture of it.
Zoo Test #2
- You will need 50 stars in order to take the test and 60 in order to skip it.
- Part 1: Put the animals in their correct places on the food chain, lowest on the left and highest on the right. Your order should (from left to right) be Mouse, Snake, and Tiger.
- Part 2: Decide which animals are nocturnal and which hunt and feed during the day and place them in the right places. Nocturnal animals are Opossum, Wolf, and Mouse, while the daytime animals are the Elephant and the Hippo.
- Part 3: Decide which animals are nocturnal and which hunt and feed during the day and place them in the right places (again). Nocturnal animals are the Raccoon and the Kinkajou, and the daytime animals are the Rhino and Seal.
- Once you've passed the test, you will be promoted to Junior Manager and can access the previously off-limits pavilions.
Find the Animals that have Escaped
- There is a star hidden behind the raccoon's head: pick it up when he turns it.
Find All of the Sharp Objects
- Once you find the sharp objects, you will need to throw them away. The trash receptacle is on the right side of the screen (look for the flies).
- There is a star hidden underneath the butterfly's right wing: pick it up when it flutters.
Help Cleaning the Pavilion
- Once you find the objects, you'll need to throw them away. The trash can is across the bridge and to the left of the large rock.
Help Cleaning the Pavilion (Lion Area)
- You will need to throw the objects away once you find them. The trash bin is located across the bridge at the far side of the screen; look for the flies.
The Arctic Animals Need to be Checked
- One of the seals you need jumps in and out of the screen. It makes noise whenever it does: you can't miss it.
- One of the penguins will swim through the water, so be sure to keep an eye out for it.
Jigsaw Puzzle Minigame
- The last of the four available minigames, you can earn bonus stars by playing.
- Rotate the puzzle pieces by right clicking or clicking on the glowing rotate button on the screen. There is a background photo to show you what the puzzle should look like once completed.
Help Cleaning the Pavilion
- You'll need to throw the objects away once you find them: the trashcan is practically under the leftmost waterfall.
- There is a green star behind the parrot's head: click on him or wait until he moves his head to pick it up.
Zoo Test #3
- If you do not have enough stars for the next zoo test, remember to revisit old locations or play minigames to earn more until you have enough.
- You need 60 stars in order to be able to take this test: 70 if you want to skip it entirely.
- Part 1: Place the animals on their favorite food. The Meat-eaters are the Spider and the Bird, the Greens eaters are the Elephant and the Snail.
- Part 2: Put the animals on the continent on which they belong.
-Australia=Kangaroo
-South America=Llama
-Africa=Giraffe
-Asia=Tiger
-North America=Buffalo
- Part 3: Place the animals on their favorite food. The Meat-eaters are the Tunafish and the Eagle while the Herbivores are the Buffalo and the Elk.
- Passing the test will earn you the rank of Senior Manager!
Feed the Animals of Europe
- There are several animals that pop up and move in this level: 3 meat-eaters (wolf, bear, and weasel). There is also an insect-eating bird hiding inside the blue birdhouse.
- There is a star hidden underneath the butterfly's right wing (right next to the appearing and disappearing wolf).
Help Cleaning the Pavilion
- Once you find the items on the list, you'll need to throw each away. The trashcan is located near the center of the screen: look for the flies.
- There is a star hidden inside the Toucan's beak. Click on it or wait for it to open in order to collect it.
The Bears Need to be Weighed
- There is a bear hiding inside the hole in the tree: be careful not to miss it (it's a Panda).
- There is a (black) star hidden being the bouncing lemur's tail, click on the lemur to make it move and collect the star.
Find the Escaped Animals
- Two stars are hidden with a Meercat on either side of the screen. When they pop up, grab the stars.
Identify the North American Animals
- You will need to click on the animal's name on the list (it will turn orange) before you can successfully click on/"find" that animal in the scene.
- There is a star hidden underneath the squirrel. Click on it or wait for it to move in order to collect it.
Find All the Lost Belongings
- Once you find the items, place them in the blue cloth bin.
- The Airplane you'll need to find flies in and out of the screen, but it's easy to find (included in first screenshot below).
- There is a star hidden underneath the butterfly's right wing: click on it to make it move and collect it.
- Note: There is an item "Rocket" on the list which should be "Racket" instead. You're looking for a tennis racket.
Feed the Animals
- There are a few animals that move in this area (shown in the screenshot below): a spider which will appear and disappear at the top left corner of the screen, an alligator which will swim down the river, and a kangaroo which will bounce across the screen.
Find All Toys and Music Instruments
- Once you find the objects, you will need to place them inside the blue cloth bin.
- There is a star hidden behind the Leopard, be sure to collect it when it ducks down.
Find Lost Belongings
- Don't forget, after you find each of the items you'll need to place them inside the blue cloth bin on the left side of the screen.
- One of the belongings you'll need to find is a small ship. The ship will sail across the screen in the back water/creek area, so keep an eye out for it (marked in the 2nd screen below).
- There's a star hidden behind the leopard. Wait until it moves to collect it.
Find All of the Birds
- There is a duck that will fly across the top of the screen in this level. Don't forget to click on it since it's one of the 21 birds.
- There is a star hidden behind the Red Panda's tail. Click on the tail to make it move and claim the star.
- There is a star hidden behind the zebra mask. Click on it to make it move and collect the star.
Zoo Test #4
- You need 75 stars to take the test, 80 to skip it.
- Part 1: Put the animals in the correct order according to the foodchain, left being lowest and right highest. The order from left to right should be Fly, Frog, and Heron.
- Part 2: Put the animals on their continent of residence.
-Australia=Platypus
-South America=Capybara
-Africa=Hippo
-Asia=Elephant
-North America=Grizzly Bear
- Part 3: Decide which animals are nocturnal and which are not. Nocturnal=Hedgehog and Bat, Not nocturnal=Giraffe and Orangutan
- Passing the test will get you promoted to Deputy Director!
Help Cleaning the Pavilion
- Don't forget to place the items in the blue cloth bin once you find them.
- There is a small bird which hops up and down: hidden underneath it is a star.
Check the Night Animals
- Three Meerkats will pop in and out of sight, but they are visible in the screenshot below so you can see where they are.
- There is a star hidden behind the raccoon: click on it to make it disappear for a moment.
Help Cleaning the Pavilion
- Don't be confused here by the label "Sugar Cane", which actually refers to "Candy Cane" and not the plant.
Find All of the Snake Eggs
- Once you find/pick up a snake egg, put it inside the blue cloth bin.
- There is a star hidden inside the iguana's mouth. Wait until it opens up to grab it.
Take Photos of the Insects
- You will only be able to view the exhibit clearly through the camera viewfinder.
- Insects which you must find may vary because of the shape-specific requisite.
Help Cleaning the Pavilion
- Once you pick up an item, don't forget to throw it in the trash, which is in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Find All of the Lost Belongings
- Once you've found the item, place it inside the blue cloth bin.
Help Cleaning the Pavilion
- Once you've found the item, place it inside the trash bin on the other side of the water.
The Birds Need Vaccinations
- There is a bird that will fly across the top of the screen (visible in the screenshot below), make sure not to miss it.
- There is a little green and pink bird that will pop in and out of the birdhouse from which the lock hangs.
- Under the bridge is a small water bird that will pop in and out of the water: also make sure you catch this one.
- There is a star hidden behind the Red Panda's tail.
Zoo Test #5
- You need 75 stars to take the test, 80 to skip/automatically solve it
- Part 1: Place the animals in their foodchain order. From left to right: Caterpillar, Frog, Snake, Owl
- Part 2: Put the animals on the continent on which they belong.
-Worldwide=Brown Bear
-Asia=Panda
-Australia=Koala
-North America=Grizzly Bear
- Part 3: Place the animals in their foodchain order. From left to right: Fly, Meerkat, Snake, Falcon
- Completing the test means being promoted to Director!
Help Cleaning the Pavilion
- Don't forget to put the items in the trash once you've found them. The trash is located beneath the camel's window.
Clean the Mushrooms from the Pavilion
- Once you've found a mushroom, throw it into the trashbin on the left side of the screen.
Remove All Bottles
- Once you find a bottle, throw it away into the trashcan in the bottom left corner.
Check to See if All the Animals are Still Here
- Underneath the fluttering blue dragonfly is a hidden star. Wait until it moves to collect it.
The Animals Here Need to be Marked
Identify All the Forest Animals
- The Red Squirrel will dart in and out of the screen. It's included in the screenshot below (right side of screen).
- The Baby Lynx will also appear and vanish in the shrubs, but you can see it in the screen below.
- There is a star hiding behind the raccoon's head: click on it to collect it once it moves.
Take Photos of the Desert Animals
- You will only be able to view animals through the camera viewfinder.
- The two Meerkats you'll need pop in and out of burrows (show below), keep a sharp eye out.
- The Sand Cat is also hiding in a burrow (shown below).
Find All of the Ostrich Eggs
- Once you've found an egg, place it in the blue cloth bin at the bottom left corner of the screen.
Find All of the Lost Belongings
- Once you find one of the items on the list, be sure to put it in the blue cloth bin in the middle of the area.
Identify All the Animals

Zoo Test #6
- You need 75 stars to take the test, 80 to skip
- Part 1: Decide which animals eat meat and which eat veggies. Meat= Penguin and Snake, Veggies= Grasshopper and Kangaroo.
- Part 2: Decide which animals are nocturnal and which function during the day. Day= Heron and Llama. Night=Guinea pig and Koala.
- Part 3: Organize the animals according to the food chain, left being lowest. From left to right: Fly, Spider, Hawk.
- Successfully completing the test earns you the promotion to President!
Find All the Lost Tools
- Once you find a tool from the list, place it inside the red toolbox to the right of the screen.
Find All of the Lost Belongings
- Once you find one of the objects on the list, place it inside the blue cloth container.
Let's See if the Animals got Overheated
- All four Prairie Dogs will pop in and out of holes. All are visible in the screen below.
- There's a star hidden behind the deer skull. Click on it to move and collect the star.
- There's also a vulture that will fly across the top of the screen that carries a star in its mouth.
Find All Sharp Objects
- Once you've found one of the sharp objects, throw it into the trash bin (look for the flies), on the left side of the screen.

- Once you find an object, be sure to throw it in the trash at the bottom of the screen.
Remove the Food from the Pavilion
- Once you find the food, be sure to throw it into the trashcan to the right of the tree.

Check to See if All the Animals are Still Here
- Once of the Mouflon is hiding in the upper right shed: it'll appear and disappear.
