I liked it so far but only played for a few minutes and then got stuck on that darn cipher puzzle and quit for awhile, I hate those kinds of puzzles and I also prefer to be able to have the option to play untimed....

Thanks for your opinions, sassy & micky. It's really great for me to decide to play games :) Cuz I'm gonna play The Nightshift Code, and maybe Nightshift Legacy after then.

i agreefinding hidden object was difficult but minigames were excellent and totally different from other games and original for good minigames you should just give it a try.

do hope it'd be more different minigames. and hidden objects are too tricky to locate.

has anyone gotten past the crypt lock key parts? i'm having a hard time getting it done and I keep have to restart it

I don't like the game. You get penalizeds for every single miss-click. Plus, as others have stated, if you get stuck on one of the scenes, and time runs out, you have to start the level all over again. That's a big turnoff!! I'm not buying the game either.

Only played Chapter One. Liked the game so far, but would definitely like to the option of no limit on time. Thanks for the info on time running out. That will be a factor if I decide to purchase.

I agree with hdnwz!! I am almost at the end of the game and they give you 35 minutes to put the parts of three keys together and within that same time frame you also need to find the hidden objects in the Codex (which can be roughly constituted as a nightmare) and then find the meanings of several of these words within the codex!! I complained to PlayFirst (not that it will do any good) that they need to use NORMAL people when determining the time limit on these games and not gaming experts who can whipping through these things in no time at all!!! Not everybody is a speed demon!! I know I'm not and I'm not ashamed to admit it!!

I agreed on the running out of time part. I think the hidden objects are relatively not very difficult to find, just need to spend time on the minigames. I got time out a few time thru out the game, very frustrated at first. The second time I go thru the same mini game, I make note of the decode game. Can't do much with the photos though. Finding objects thru the codex is quite hard but manageable. I replay the game and noticed I got a new list of items to find (with a few repeat item). Replay value is there but preferably there is an option to play untimed or extended time rather than the usual time.

I just sent an e-mail to PlayFirst commenting on the number of complaints there are about this game and nearly begging them to reissue the game wiithout a timer as was done with Azada Ancient Magic. They can do it if they want to. I hope to hear from them, I'll let you know what happens.

I will say this once again, logic puzzles should never be timed, because it takes time to think about how to solve them. I could have easily have solved the codex mini-game, Had I been allowed to have time enough to think through the puzzle.
I have a disability Tourettes Syndrome, it does not afford me the advantage to work these kinds of puzzles quickly, I need to be able to take the time to think things out. But with TS as the level of stress rises, so do my symptoms and one of them is the inability to think quickly under pressure as I begin to lose focus. Then to have to go all the way back to the beginning and start over, is just pure nonsense, it is not fun but work.

I was late coming to this game. I did the beta and was baffled, then a couple of the 60 min free and got hooked. However, I'm just over halfway on the progress bar, in Barcelona. I have found all the objects in the three locations, all are crossed off with the red bar, but the game won't move forward. I've run out of hints, and wonder if this is a bug, cuz I have no idea what I'm supposed to do after finding all the objects. Any suggestions? Thanks, love Gamezebo and the group!

Anyone else having trouble getting some of the hidden objects? I can see an artist's brush quite clearly but when I click on it, it's a misclick. There's a brroch and a tiny little shovel on top of it but lots of room left to click but nowhere seems to work. So I'm stuck in the second chapter.

Like I said in my review, I loved the first one and that's why I bought the second one. This one I gave 2 stars and the reason being is mostly the game play. You give 35 minutes to cover at least 2 to 4 scenes and the mini-game. If you so happen to run out of time which is very easy to do, the player has to go back 2 or 3 scenes and redo the mini-game. I like to move forward with my games not constantly go backwards. The items we have to look for are not easy to find, and in the mini games if you mess up you get docked 2 minutes from your time. If you think you found something you do give the person a couple of missed clicks and there goes 2 minutes more if it's a 3rd or 4th one. I do like the story but if you come out with another Nightshift game please make it to where you don't have to use a timer. A lot of HO fans like to play the ones with no timer and look for things at there own pace. The mini games except for the word one are difficult but luckily you can use the hint button. Like I said not impressed with this one in the least.
