Double Fine announces new rhythm game for PC and iOS

Double Fine has revealed Dropchord, a "music-driven score challenge" game coming soon to iOS and PC. While they didn’t divulge any details about how the game is played, they made sure to throw in some snazzy screenshots of what it will look like.  I wish I could tell you whether or not I included said screenshots in this post, but that would be a huge spoiler.

Alright, fine. I included a couple of them below. Before you start staring at them, though, let me offer up a little context. The PC version of Dropchord is being developed for the hands-free Leap Motion controller, which you can get a glimpse of here. It’s a motion-based peripheral for the PC, basically. Chances are good the iOS version of the game will replace motion controls with good old fashioned swiping, but only time will tell if that's the case.

With that out of the way, let’s feast our eyes on these trippy screenshots:

Dropchord is releasing later this year, but the more impatient of us will be able to play it at the upcoming SXSW and PAX East events. Coincidentally, that's also probably when we'll learn how it's played. What are the odds?!
