As yet another week wanes, it's time to look back and take stock of all the cool things that happened in the social and mobile games industry. For starters, I began my new position as Gamezebo's Assistant Editor, so--hi! It's very nice to be here, and thank you all (especially Jim) for putting up with me as I staggered through my first week. With that out of the way, we have news about Angry Birds Land (the Angriest Place on Earth), EA's Battlefield 3: Aftershock shame, and Justin Bieber's hatred for iOS parodies of his sparkling self.

I have read with some great interest the fact that even Blizzard guys want to create a free online game. This industry has really become a great business. I think that more and more people start playing free games with some extra features available for some payment. Gamers are more likely to pay for a game if they have a chance to test it before. This is why the free gaming industry is so popular.
