Gamersgate officially announces ad-supported free games platform VOID

Some say that a sculptor doesn’t merely chisel away at rock to create a shape, he chips away the excess to reveal the form underneath. To breathe life into it, as it were. Despite the fact that we’re constantly looking behind the scenes for a better name to describe the emerging wave of quick and accessible videogames, a simple fact stands: the games we review a vast majority of the time are going to be in the $20 and lower price range and are aimed at a general audience. So why, you might ask, am I reviewing a full-priced hardcore sequel to a game from 2000?

A fish out of water: Big Fish Games announces plans to move to the cloud

Paul Thelen, founder of Big Fish Games and recently re-positioned CEO, has his head in the clouds. We’re not saying he’s a dreamer, either. According to an interview with Venture Capital, it looks like Big Fish Games will be moving a majority of its games to a cloud-based streaming service.

“We’re in a transformational era,” said Thelen. “Now that I’m back in the seat, I want to do something big.”
