Let's start with the pros. The setting for this time managment game is a new one- you're in charge of building a marina, and you get to select the beach on which you do so. The new scenery is refreshing. Each level contains a series of goals, and there are lots of levels, allowing for lots of gameplay. Players also get to keep working on the same marina- so there's no repeated starting over from scratch. But there are cons too, and most important among those, is the fact that this game gets very repetitive, very quickly. Players do the same tasks over and over again. While it's nice to keep improving the same project/beach, this also contributes to the overall repetitiveness. In sum, this game offers a lot of gameplay for your dollar, but that gameplay is extremely repetitive. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

3 stars only for a relatively original concept. Once I figured out how to play it (which is the only challenge and strategy) in spite of the horrible tutorial, I tried the free mode and the other places. I was disappointed to see there is not much to do. Once you build fire station, you are free to expand. There is not much interactivity, problem solving, only to fit in ship parks in a limited space. Not too much fun after a while, and I'm not intending to play it again. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I love that game! It is awesome having the opportunity to make your own marina. It's really exciting and even though it's a game I still get nervous will my marina be successful. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

An improvement over previous Youda entries, but just not up to par with what else is out there. Sloppy tutorial and lack of structure detract from the enjoyment of the game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

This is the first Youda game I've really gotten into. I really enjoy the game overall. I thought it would be too difficult at first, but it eases into things. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

The concept was original and took us to a location we haven't really explored before. It also put us in charge of something other than a farm, restraunt, or shop which was nice too. But the area was rather large and hard to keep an eye on. There wasn't a button to hit for when you needed immediate help (at least none I could find.) Once you got left on your own, you were truly on your own! lol There was too much going on and none of it was explained well in my opinion. My major complaint is still the size. It's hard to keep an eye on the sea and what's going on inland. They need to tone the map down a bit I think. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

This rates a thumbs up from me as I've never been a fan of Youda games but this one is different. Certainly better then either of the previous issues from Youda. I don't understand the issue with the tutorial as it was about as clear and easy as could be for me. I do understand the issue about having to spend more time dock building and docking boats then being able to develop the land sites however I believe that is perhaps the idea behind the strategy of the game is it not? Dividing your time between dock duties and providing entertainment and utilities for the guests. I will say that having reached the tycoon stage in the first map, I've found that I have a lot more smaller dock sites then I need and not enough room for the big ships that are coming in now and for the life of me, I cannot find how to replace smaller dock spaces with larger ones. It was probably covered in the tutorial and I more then likely skipped over that part. Once the tutorial is over though, there doesn't seem to be any help files to refer to so that has me a little stumped. I am looking forward to the GZ tips and tricks on this. Otherwise it's a great TM game for those of us who are fanatics. I would have given it a 5 star if I wasn't a bit soured by the lack of help files once the tutorial was over. It's a decent game. I played for the trial period and will probably get it eventually--when it's on Gamehouse for my subscription. There are some games I'm willing to use credits on BF or PlayFirst, and this one isn't one of those. It is somewhat addicting however. It's got a complicated play, which is a bonus IMO. It's got some good tasks to complete, and the concept of a marina is definitely different. I think Youda is known for that; at least they are in my mind since they started out with the campground concept--definitely something not done yet. This game, I would definitely recommend to anyone to at least try it. One thing I didn't like is that the focus was so much on the dock building constantly that it was kind of hard to really explore all the other options you have for things like shore buildings, businesses, upgrades, etc. Then, I wish that there was a way that the ships would dock automatically because it seemed that I was constantly either expanding the docks, which was time consuming, or clicking on each ship to offer them a dock. So that's my major complaint about the game so far. IT was too hectic in the requirements for the most basic concepts that the more advanced play wasn't really able to be explored. So again, I basically recommend the game and will probably play it more when it's released elsewhere. I think that many people will wholeheartedly enjoy the game, and enjoy the new concept with the different powerups that you can achieve, and the different business changes you can make. Okay, Okay-I enjoy time mangament games but the tutorial was just way to involved for me. I found the game to be very confusing and gave up after about 30 minutes. I couldn't figure out how to make the deck bigger and all the boats were just going by me. It was like I had stepped into a French class and had no idea what people were saying. Not my cup of tea!!! I agree with Gamerman, this is a really fun/addictive game, nice graphics, easy to learn and moves smoothly, I give a 4 out 5 stars because the TASK bar is too small, hard to read, other than that everything is worth for a try, hope you like this game as much as I do. Youda Marina is out now! I found a mail from Youda games in my mailbox did a trial run and within 10 minutes i knew i just had to get it! The game is an absolute delight! It combines two mechanics Time management and simulation in a wonderful fashion. The atmosphere is tropical and the relaxed reggea music contributes to the whole experience. The graphics are great there are many different buildings and ships/boats. Once got started the game offered me milestones on the top left corner that kept me occupied in good way not to much pressure on me :) Just good! Then after i reached some milestones the game offered me an unsuspected choice... I could continue with the milestones. But at the same time it offered me some time to take a good look at my marina. Because i made some choices in the beginning my marina was not at all perfect. So i took the time to correct some of my rookie errors. And have things really the way i wanted. In that period of exploration i noticed ships kept coming so the money flow continued. Which helped me in redesigning some of the marina. Later on in the game a village started to emerge on land and new issues had to be dealt with. Nothing complicated but fun action. For those of you playing this game for the first time make sure you exstinguish any fire on land ASAP! you might loose an expensive building if you don't. Here is a tip: When two buildings are on fire and you have only one firestation. When one of the buildings on fire is an event building, that organizes short events, start the event by clicking the event button. ( the purple one ) No exstinguish the fire in the other building first. Chances are that the event building has burned to the ground but and here it comes: in that inferno you have managed to organize a money raising event so you have minimized the total loss. The menus are clear and easy to read and i found out that the game is translated into many different languages. Spanish, Italian, French, German ( i believe ), Dutch and English ofcourse. This is great in my opinion. There is also a relaxed mode that you can play just to have fun without pressure and create the most wonderful stuff. You will still have to generate money but i think that is logical. I bought Youda Camper and i liked it. I bought Youda Farmer and i liked it more. And Youda Marina just brings the best of but worlds together and absolutly succeeded in making a new sort of hybrid game mechanic that rocks my world. I recommend Youda Marina and give it the highest scores on every aspect of the game. It is one of the most pleasant suprises i have had for months! Try it you won't be dissappointed!
