I tried it and became frustrated with it. Didn't even finish my allotted 60 minutes.

Items much too small and just not stimulating to hold any interest. And some of the items didn't resemble what they were suppose to be.
Thumbs down! -
Put on your glasses, granny, and try again. I loved this game. The houses and characters are so unique and interesting. I loved fixing up my "finds" for my new home. Two thumbs up for me.

This game is my next one to buy. I do agree, though, that it would be nicce being able to decide for yourself what colours and stuff you want when you decorate your home. Apart from that, two thumbs up.

Cute and funny, but wish the graphics were clearer, fuzzy objects. Totally agree graphics in all HOG should be like Amazing Adventures, Madame Fate, nice and crisp clear objects. My eyes are not what they used to be either! I did buy this one, but probably not The Race because of the bad quality of the objects.

Your “glasses” remark was inappropriate for this forum. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. We older folks no longer have 20/20 eyesight and find some of the smaller objects hard to see. That aside, we bought the game last night and have been enjoying it. We agree with Heartgal that it would have been nice it they had added a magnifying glass so we didn’t have to use our own, it would be less awkward.
Have fun gamming,

Brgunda,
I agree with Oldman44, your comment about granny putting on her glasses is inappropriate and unacceptable. We do not approve of people talking to each other in that kind of tone. This will be your only warning about this matter, if I see anything like that again you will be banned from the site.

I really enjoyed this game but did I miss it somewhere that if you click a a star in every scene you get any extra hint. Only found this out by mistake.

I enjoyed this game, a new twist on the hidden object genre. I agree some of the graphics made it difficult, but then again it's refreshing to play a game that actually takes patience rather than finishing the game in the demo. This is definitely going on the wish list.

On the whole, I liked the game and bought it straight after the trial ended. I agree some of the objects are a little small however it's nice to find a hidden object game that is a bit more challenging as usually, we can complete them quickly and easily. I would have liked to have seen the puzzles in between levels being a bit trickier but loved the whole DIY spin. I've read in reviews that the sound effects are disappointing, I disagree, I thought they were great!

Loved this game. Yes, the graphics were fuzzy but once I took off Full Screen mode, everything was clear and crisp. The characters are a great touch, I enjoy going to all the different houses and looking for items. :)

I just played the demo and will be buying the game. I do agree that some objects were really hard to find and a little fuzzy, but the game was still fun with a different twist!

I love the game-I will be buying it once my son gets off of my desktop-LOL!!! I love putting the things together in between the hidden object parts and painting and cleaning the items up. Kind of reminds me of cooking academy!!! Some objects are hard to find and I wish they made the stars a little bit easier to find. That is the only downfall I have with the game. I have found a good way to see the items is to get up and stand in front of the computer screen and look-I have really bad eyes and I am only 36-LOL!!! Love the family genes-LOL!!! So that is my helpful tip for the day-let me know if it works for you and it is also great exercise!!! LOL!!!

I was disappointed, I loved the mini games but the items were soooo small I used up all my hints right away and randomly clicked but got time penaltys. I would have bought this game if the items were bigger!! Great idea for a game though.....

I downloaded this game from Big Fish on Saturday. I have Norton Internet Security system. It picked up a W32 Spybot Worm Virus with the highest risk level for viruses in this game. It quarantined the virus and I had to immediately shut down and reboot my computer. I emailed Big Fish on Saturday morning but I haven’t gotten a response yet. Does anyone else who has downloaded this game have Norton virus protection?

I was excited too, having seen so few games get 5 stars here. Almost just bought it right away but tried the demo first. Now I don't know. Graphics are quite clear on full screen 15" flat panel monitor but wayyyyyy to tiny. Lord knows what would be seen on a window. It took an hour to get thru the first location Level 1 then time ended on the second location houseboat. Still 4 items to find and only 3 hints left. Even hints I used I could not identify what it was. I just don't see the point of a game played with mostly hints and random clicks. I was playing non-timed but still getting warnings on random clicks. So I never even got to try the mini games which sound like the fun part. If my memory were better maybe on replay starting over I could get some that I used hints, and armed with a magnifying glass, because with good replay value as the reviewer said it may take a long time but something for the price. Have BF credits so not a big investment but I keep asking self why buy frustration. If oldman44 got through it with a mag glass maybe I could too. Maybe game designers figure everyone has the big screens now as they evidently use in the making. But looks to me the bigger the screen the fuzzier it gets. Feels like a letdown, guess I'll shop around for another BF game for now.

I love the home improvement aspect of this game, even got some great ideas for my home in playing. The people and their accents make me laugh and the objects are challenging to find. I keep telling my husband just one more house, but I can't seem to stop, it's really fun!

I, also, found the items to be pretty tiny. Just played the demo, and found the concept pretty good. It would be nice if some choices were given for the painting and fixing and such, but I liked having to put things together. Only got 2 rooms done before demo ended. May purchase it at some point.

Lizzie,
I have Norton and also DL it via BFG but I didn't get a virus warning on it. I'd try & contact the publisher/developer or delete from your system and re-DL it, maybe you just got a bad one at that time.

For those of you who are having problems finding things I figured out a trick that helped me out a lot ... I made it fine to the kids room. then when I got to finding the equations.. I was stumped.... so
I did print screen, copied the screen to paint, then went to Start
Programs
Accessories
Accesiblity
Magnifier...That will allow you to move your curser over the picture and it will be largely magnified.
Has helped me out on a couple screens since.
IT is a pain as this is one game I cant get on my computer with a windowed screen, so you have to exit the game to do the above... but it did help... I am almost done with the Bathroom now and only have the master bedroom to go...Hope that helps

Lizzie, I've had no problem and have Norton as well. However, I did get an email from BigFish saying that it has been fixed (whatever it was that was broken). The email instructions were to uninstall and reinstall. Hope that helps.
