GENERAL TIPS

  • It is always a very good idea to start by constructing the most expensive house which is currently available and to sell it immediately. Thus you have a very nice amount of money right from the start and the larger financial margin makes most of the levels a lot easier, since you can react directly to unexpected events.
  • Before you start the campaign you are able to choose between timed and untimed mode. If you are not that experienced with resource management games it might be a good idea to play the campaign untimed at first, then giving it another try in the timed version.
  • Broken or cursed houses do not provide you with rent, so fix them as soon as possible.
  • To upgrade a house increases both its rent and value. If you intend to sell a house it is always a good idea to upgrade it beforehand to boost the profit.
  • Take into account that you can only purchase houses for their exact value, while your own houses that you put up for sale are never sold for their exact value. Do not sell them too cheap, you can always reject low offers.
  • The costs to repair, strengthen, charm or exorcize a house depend on the house's value.
  • Charmed or strengthened houses loose this protection when you upgrade them afterwards.
  • The spells have very different effects: The "speed-up"-spell makes your dwarves work faster for a while, the "ghosts"-spell puts a curse on a house so that it will get up to sale and the "euphoria"-spell doubles the rent and banishes spirits. However, spells only appeal for a short time and you have to wait until you cast them again.
