Oh, if only the world were filled with excellent games like this one! Wandering Willows is exactly what all casual games should be - easy to pick up, hard to put down... and tons of fun! I'm still playing the game even after having finished all the quests. It's just too much fun to stop - and I'm still working on finding all the patterns and pets for those elusive last few medals :) I cross my fingers that the developers will make a sequel - and that this game will inspire many, many more games of this kind! 5 Stars. Where the heck did the time go? Absorbing! That's the plain truth. I wasn't too thrilled with the demo. I almost gave it a pass. But, Gamezebo liked it, contributors to the User Reviews section liked it, and Most Importantly: They said the game lasts a long time. Yes I recommend it. Don't judge this one by its demo. There are repetitive tasks you can choose to pursue in order to increase your currency. It takes some ingenuity and even some experience with other games that encourage you to pick up and keep everything until it's needed. The pets that can help you remind me of the pets in Black and White 2. They are trainable to accomplish various tasks, they are hardworking and they are devoted. The exploration angle and the goal of deepening friendships holds my interest, too, and I like giving gifts! Looking for a nice present for yourself? This game deserves to be on your short list. I played the demo the whole way through and I can't wait to buy the full game! This truly was a lot of fun. It reminded me of Animal Crossing, so if you've every played that you'll probably love this too. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

At first I was put off by the movements trying to find my way around the map, but that quickly changed and I fell in love! The characters and their conversations were hilarious and I loved my little 'gibby' so that I never traded him out and he became fully skilled. It was sad when the game ended but I can always go back anytime to 'visit'. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

One of the best games I've played yet. Cute graphics, choose the look of your avatar, casual pace, fun quests, humorous character interactions... this game has it all. After completion, keep playing to win all the medals! (I sure hope there's a sequel to this!). Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I have been looking forward to this game for a long time and I was not disappointed. I love this game. I have been playing for three days now a couple of hours a day and still not even near halfway done. I love the tasks, making the foods and clothes and doing things for the characters. Totally different game than other casual games offered online. Somewhat like Animal Crossing, way less in cost compared to Animal Crossing, especially using the game club at BFG. Just couldn't get into this game. I wanted to like it, and the production values are excellent. But I found the individual quests too boring. Collect two apricots to make apricot juice. Dig up 100 things until you find 2 more chives to make vegetable soup. I like Chocolatier and Westward, but this one just wasn't interesting during long searches for the one missing item. Cute, though. I recommend Grimm's Hatchery if you want more strategy. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Love this game! Totally different concept than the HOG or even adventure games lately. I was so sick of all the usual games that are being released so this was a welcome change. I like how long it is--I have LOTS of hours in play, and yet I'm no where near the end of the quests. There is a lot of value in this game--lots of different quests and characters to develop in the pets. It's not easy to develop friendships, which is a main component of the game. It's also not easy to collect all the objects you need. I do get tired sometimes of all the walking, but I've discovered one shortcut between game areas and hope to discover more. I TOTALLY recommend this game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Excellent game! Like a cross between "Chocolatier," "Westward," and a little "Totem Tribe" thrown in for good measure. I'm so glad that PlayFirst dared to break away from a potentially stale dash formula and go the bold adventure rout. The end result is something fresh, clever, and truly endearing. The main portion of the game can be finished in like 2 days. But the optional second half can drag on and become slightly tedious finding 1 or 2 eggs and a collar every 3 or 4 hours. It came close to losing the fun at that point, but the bright and colorful atmosphere saved the day even in the most excruciating moments. I really hope that PlayFirst makes a full sequel because “Wandering Willows” was a good step in the right direction. My one wish is for the sequel to be a little more intuitive about the items that you’re missing so that you don’t have to go to animals 5-6 times before getting things like eggs, collars, recipes. The first part of the game was handled extremely well and items appeared rather quickly. But the optional portion for me dragged on for 3 days. I felt that the additional time was somewhat unnecessary considering the scarcity of items you had to find. I won’t mark them down for that this time because I thoroughly enjoyed the game. But they need to learn from the mistake that “Totem Tribe” made. You don’t want fun to turn into epic frustration. It wouldn’t hurt to include a hint feature next time for those items that are really tough to find. In the end, “Wandering Willows” was genuinely refreshing and a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend it, but plan on committing a decent amount of time particularly if you want to earn all of the badges. I sincerely applaud PlayFirst for bringing us both “Wandering Willows” and “Emerald City Confidential” in 2009. I look forward to more games like this in the future. What a wonderful game. I originally bought this for my daughter, but she doesn't get a look in. A difficult game to pigeonhole. I love the graphics, the little fellas that follow you around are very cute. When I first started playing it I thought I'd complete it within a couple of hours, but there is tons of gameplay, and I would imagine has a high replay value too. Overall. a little gem of a game, which I haven't been as excited about since I discovered totem tribe. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Very charming and relaxing game. No worries about enemies, getting killed or doing something wrong. It lacks challenge, but lovely as it is. I liked that there are so many ingredients for so many recipes. In the story a few of them are required by characters and having that variability in the recipes have no use. The pets are adorable, the game is very suitable for children but being over 40 I also enjoyed it. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I have a vista home premium, 3 Gig ram, so it should not have a problem running the game. However the game continues to have a cursor problem as well as crashes my computer by locking up. I found the game interesting and good voice overs. However I don't think I will be purchasing it especially with the glitch in it on my system. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Personallly, I loved it! It's a very different and unique game that is hard to pigeonhole into any one genre or category. I would describe it as a simulation game with RPG elements, since your pet can level up in various skills. When the demo was over, I knew that I had to purchase the game. That hasn't happened since Peggle! Kudos to the developers -- I don't mind paying full price in order to encourage this kind of innovation in casual gaming. If you are familiar with Farm 51, an online game at Big Fish Games, Wandering Willows has some similarities. But, overall, it is a hard game to categorize. Enjoy!
