Are you sure your chief didnt die or went to check the hospital? Mine was only 7 yrs and kept running off to play or pee and workers all have to be rounded up again but they pick up where they left off. Also, they all have to have been trained in Building past Untrained before they can help. I had to stop and train some 14 year olds several times as old ones died. Another curiousity was some kept leaving to the right and I thought they were going fishing and yanked them back. Seems some are trying to push from the ocean side cuz when I read what they were doing it still said pushing the statue. Oops sorry, they knew better than me that they were still on the job, just from the backside. This thing took me 2 days most of which I was watching and trying to keep the chief there til he was 14 and responsible to stay put and keep training new 14 yr olds to fix a cabin for builder points then go help. Now that I have a statue I need to get a life. But there is still that one missing feather to keep me hooked.

I think you need level 3 leadership for your chief to direct the statue moving. Also, builders. Check on Tips and Tricks Tab across the top of this screen. It has been a while since my villagers moved the statue.

Sometimes it's really hard to find the spot to drop the chief on to activate direct work. See if you can just keep dropping the chief all over the place, and hopefully, evenutally you'll hit the right one. Also, once you have him (or her) directing the stature, try not to touch him until it's done. Even if he's a child, and runs off to whatever, he'll automatically return to direct the work if you don't pick him up. (or her) Hope that made sense!

The chief wanders off whenever I exit the game :-/
if anybody has any suggestions, they are very welcome :-)

Well, you could never exit the game. :-) Aside from that, I can say reassuring words about how eventually the statue will be built, and this will all be as a distant memory.........

    Report as Inappropriate

Hi Vioman, can you tell me whichh version of the game you have? Look on the main screen and I believe the version is on the lower left side or somewhere at the bottom of the page. Some of the issues with the statue were resolved in a particular version. Thanks, Margie B
