No, but I'm glad they did it! In fact, to make the disappearance of the widow/widower easier, I've decided that they handed the keys to one of the kids and left for a condo in Hawaii--that's why you never see them. At least the college kids have started sending emails, even if they do address them to (Name) instead of Mom or Dad, LOL.

I did have this happen one time. I was very surprised also. It was so cute too. I also had an experience (if I am remembering it right) where I waited until both parents died and the kid was too young but there were no other children to bring back. When the kid turned 18, I went to new generation tab and he was there and I was able to bring him back. If I had not been able to bring him back, I would have had to start the game over from the beginnning. I do know that I was happy because I did not have to start a new game over and I think that is how it happened.

Married twice. I have participated in the forum at the developers, and have only read of that happening once or twice. Sounds fun!
By the way, Jamers, you don't have to wait until your child is 18 to start a new generation. Once you click that button, the program upgrades all the children into a 20+ year range.

Wow, talk about a shock. After playing this game into 7th generation and having 10 games going at once, the dad died in one of my games and I thought there was a quirk in the game when the mom was left alone with one teenager because I couldn't start a new generation. It just wouldn't let me. So I thought once the mom died the game would end and I felt like I wasted all my time trying to get all my trophies. Then all of a sudden the mom opens an email from a match-making company with a guy's profile who is 60 yrs old just like she is. That made me smile and I realized the game was not over.
Has anyone else had this happen?
