Topic: Parent's passing

  • Parent's passing

Dad passed away this morning and when I got home from work today, mom passed away. Brother is at college and the home is now run by the 12 year old daughter.  I have turned my computer off thinking it would reset but it hasn't.  She has no skill and is either preparing a meal, or jumping around celebrating the new baby (?). What do I need to do to get another adult in the house?  Thanks...by the way, I'm enjoying the game.  Different from the other LDW games, slower pace, but I'm still enjoying it.  Thanks again for the help. You can bring back any of the children that have already gone off to College.  Click on the Family button and then on "New Generation".  Be warned the current resident will disappear.

You have to click on the "next generation" button at the top once you are on that family screen.

Then you will be able to scroll through all the children and it will list their likes and dislikes etc... just like when you chose your first adoptee.

Big complaint from a lot of people. One of the reasons that I am now trawling the websites. I have been watching my eldest (66) person now for 8 hours, waiting for her to 'pop her clogs'. She seems determined to carry on.

I never heard of someone living over 70.

I had one die at 59.

And at that age they are awfully slow! As if the game needed to go slower as it is.

Karen, you don't have to wait for the second parent to die. You can start a new generation as soon as one parent passes away.

I really don't know. All that I can say is that most of my people die in their early sixties. As soon as I can afford to start buying the organic food for them I do so perhaps this has something to do with it???Undecided

I read on LDW that balancing work and play, and also the food that you feed them matters, such as organic food is better and to keep it balanced, giving multi vitamins etc to weak people helps

My character keeps going on and on too. She's 69! I know i don't have to wait for her to die but i just don't have the heart to kick her out if she's so darn determined to live. Her husband died at 64 so i'm playing a waiting game too!

I gave a mixture of organic and normal vegies from day 1. Dont know if that helped? Also she has always been elated. Still is in fact.

I didn't start feeding my family organics until a few generations ago, and my first family lived until they were 60+. So I wouldn't recommend buying your family the organic groceries until you have money to spare.
