I have heard people talking about the mysterious red ball before, but I haven't gotten one yet.Someone is talking about it in another thread on this board :

Claire, I have more than one family going and not all of them have found the red ball. I am still trying to figure out if the ball appears under any special circumstances or if it's just random. When I know more, I'll post it.

Claire, if you click in the top left corner as instructed and get no red ball, try again, then go to the patio where the sand box is and click around there - to the left of the sandbox and above the cut off corner below it. The ball should bounce into your screen. Let me know if this worked for you because it did for me.

Thanks Sasha.... I tried and still haven't found it! I'm sure it's something I'm not doing right. I'll keep trying!

Do you know why my praising glove went away?
Haven't got the slightest idea.... I don't know what to say except this is not supposed to be happening!!
I guess this is another bug ugh!I'll let you know if I hear anything, sorry I could not be more helpful...

Ok, this is a bug in the earlier version of the game, it was supposed to have been fixed. Please check if you have version 1.00.05 - you will find the version number in the lower left corner of the menu page.
If you have an earlier version and that you bought the game from LDW, you just have to download the trial version again from their site and install it over your game (do no uninstall, just install over it). You will not lose your families if you follow these instructions. Hope that helps!

Sasha, I finally got the red ball!
I clicked the farther I could in top left corner of the game window.
Last Day of Work doesn't want to tell, they are editing/deleting all the posts on their forums that tell how to get it LOL

Claire, I am glad you found the ball. I have tried all sorts of things but can't figure out if there is anything to do with it but bounce it around. You mentioned an LDW forum, please tell me where that is.

tnt2011, you don't need to put a person up there. Simply grab in the very top left corner above the scolding hand and the red ball should appear

They are randomizing where they appear: I have three families, and I found the ball in the upper left corner for one, in the bushes to the upper right--but not the very top--for another, and STILL haven't found it for the third. The second I found by accident, scrolling around the scene as I looked for collectibles.

Have 3 Families, found 1 ball thus far. I think the point of it is to amuse you while you wait for them to complete a task etc. Also, I'm running an older version of VF and have found no bugs yet. I still have my praising glove (and everything else) when I found the red ball. There should just be a repair option if you initiate an uninstall, rather than d/l another version on top.
I also found my Virtual Villagers stopped working if I hd both installed. Brand new pc, plenty of RAM etc... the two games seem to 'merge' and I can only have one or the other installed so I keep V.V on my external HD

Ich have buied the colour and put it next to eh bucket. Then I have put an andult to the bucket. He takes the bucket to the wall but then he brought it back and says there is no water. What shall I do?? please help me... Thx mimml16
