If you’re even the smallest fan of casual gaming, then you’ve probably heard of Triple Town before: the unbelievably addictive match-three game from Spry Fox. If you somehow haven’t, I would ask my girlfriend to tell you all about how much fun it is, but she barely stops playing it long enough to really speak to me anymore, so I guess you’re just going to have to take my word for it. This game is pretty awesome.

Some may try to deny it, but there’s a wonderful joy that comes with hugging a soft stuffed animal. And when said animal is based on a character from a game you enjoy? Well, that’s just the icing on an already awesome cake. If what I’m saying here is clicking with you at all, and you happen to be a fan of Triple Town, this is your lucky day. Triple Town bear plushies are available in developer Spry Fox’s shop, and they’re the very definition of adorable.

Last week indie studio Spry Fox, developer behind the cross-platform hit Triple Town, announced that it was filing a lawsuit against 6waves Lolapps claiming that the publisher's game Yeti Town was a copy of Triple Town. 6waves has since responded and denied copying the game.

With the rampant plagiarism that goes on in game development, something like this was bound to happen sooner or later. David Edery, CEO of Spry Fox, has just confirmed on his blog that his company has filed a copyright infringement suit against 6Waves LOLAPPS in regards to the latter’s release of Yeti Town, a game that clearly borrowed everything that was original about Spry Fox’s Triple Town, slapped on a fresh coat of paint, and made it to the App Store first.

The backlash against Zynga for its (pretty blatant) plagiarism of Tiny Tower may have been one of this week's big stories, but it certainly isn't the only recent case of game companies ripping each other off. Late last year, 6waves Lolapps was accused of doing the exact same thing, and now the company's finally defending itself.

Just in case the newly launched mobile versions of match-3 hit Triple Town weren't enough to keep you busy, it looks like a major update is on the way to the game that will bring new gameplay modes and expanded social features.
